• Providing safety tool box talk / pep talk to workers & supervisors in various topics on a daily basis
• Preparing a site emergency preparedness plan
• Preparing legal register to various states as per factories act 1948.
• Preparing site safety, emergency team and review meetings
• Preparing Hazard Identification & a Risk Assessment (HIRA), Operation Control Procedure (OCP) & Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) for all site activities (Working at height, Material handling by Pick and carry & crane, Erection activities... etc.)
• Implement all safety requirements to site as per the HIRA, OCP & SWMS requirement
• Observe and immediate rectifications / route cause analysis for Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Conditions, Near miss cases, Incidents, First aid case, Medical Treatment Case, Lost Time Injuries (Reportable Lost Time Injuries & Non-Reportable Lost Time Injuries) & Danger occurrences etc.….
• Reporting to higher management for all critical safety points for immediate rectification
• Prepare the site safety committee and conduct the safety committee meeting once monthly
• Conducting safety training for Engineers and supervisors
• Conducting motivational program for workers and engineers in monthly basis and gifts for workers like “Site safety king” with certificates
• Conducting “On the spot safety champions” with the site safety committee in weekly basis for workers
• Preparing the investigations for Near miss case, first aid cases, incidents and Accidents
• Preparing the history cards for workers, for preparing the training matrix to the workers
• Preparing the reports for Near miss case, first aid cases, incidents, Danger Occurrences and Accidents
• Organizing the programs of National safety day, World fire day, world environment day.
• Cross checking/ensuring the Permit To Work (PTW) for different types of work – Shutdown, Hot work, height work, Confined space entry, Working at night etc….. (LOTOTO system)
• Organizing / conducting the fire drill and mock drills as per site requirements.
• Preparing the safe erection plan with required sketches / graph for all erection activities
• Providing Screening and Safety induction training for all categories of workers and Engineers
• Providing safety induction training to all visitors
• Providing tools box talks in various topics
• Providing safety training to all workers in various categories
• Implementation of OSHAS 18001:2007 to workplace and control of related documents
• Conducting the fitness inspection of Crane, Pick and carry, machines, equipment’s, power tools, PPE’s, Full body harness & tools and tackles…. Etc..
• Periodic inspection of Crane, Pick and carry, machines, equipment’s, power tools, PPE’s, Full body harness, fall arresting arrangements, Scaffolding & tools and tackles…. Etc..
• Conducting site safety committee meetings
