Excellent command over Instrumentation software like Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI – INTOOLS), AVEVA Instrumentation, NavisWorks, AutoCAD and Instrumentation sizing software for Control valves, Safety valves, flow elements, temperature elements etc.

Knowledge of the process units involved in Onshore and Offshore Engineering, Refinery and Petrochemical industry.

JOB PROFILE

Preparation and Review of Project Instrument & Control Design Basis.

Preparation and Review of Instrument Specifications, Datasheets and Material Requisitions for all Field Instruments including Valves (Control Valves, Shutdown Valves, Choke Valves, Motor Operated Valves etc.), HIPPS, Safety Relief Valves, Wellhead control panels (WHCP / HPU), Christmas Tree - SSSV, SSV, Multi phase Flow Meters (MPFM), Analyzers, Electronic Transmitters, Fire and Gas (F&G) Devices (F&G) etc.

Procurement engineering for correct selection of all Instrumentation Items viz.
- Vendor Offer evaluation, Technical Queries (TQ/TC), Vendor meetings, Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and Purchase Requisition;
- Complete Post Order Vendor document review (VDR) including review of General Arrangement Drawing (GAD), Schematic, BOM, Various Sizing Calculations etc. submitted by Vendor;
- Vendor Drawing Approval from PMC/Client.

Complete System engineering for all Instrument systems (DCS, ESD, RTU-PLC, FGS, and SCADA) viz.
- Preparation of detailed Specifications for Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS), Control System Philosophy and Safety Requirement Specification;
- Preparation of Detailed Instrument I/O List, I/O Summary, Point Database, Logic Diagrams, Functional Schematics, Control Narratives and Hardwired Console design;
- Complete Foundation Field bus (FF) System Design and implementation in the system;
- Post Order Vendor document review (VDR) including review of Cabinet GAD, IO Assignment, DCS logic Print outs, ESD Logic Print outs, Graphic sketches etc.;
- Hands-on experience of Honeywell’s C300 DCS and Safety Manager ESD and FGS; Yokogawas’s Centum VP DCS and Prosafe-RS ESD and FGS; and ABB’s AC800M DCS and AC800M HI ESD and FGS (8000 I/Os with 300 cabinets).

Review of Designer deliverables like Cable Block Diagrams, JB wiring & Interconnection diagram, Cable Schedules, JB Schedules, Drum schedules, Cable routing Layouts, Instrument Hookup diagrams, Instrument Bulk MTO / BOQ, Equipment Layouts, Location Layouts etc.

Accurate Handling of Instrument Index Database and Instrument Engineering Sheets with up to 18000 instruments.

Hands on experience of AVEVA Instrumentation and different modules in SPI – INTOOLS viz. Specification module, Browser module, Process data module, wiring module etc.

Coordination with other project Disciplines and Lead Engineers to ensure correct implementation of the design and providing inter-discipline inputs viz. P&ID Inputs, UPS/Non-UPS Power consumption details, Heat Load details, Instrument air Consumption etc.

Instrumentation review and inputs for Vendor Engineering packages like Power Skid, Instrument Air / N2 Compressor (Centrifugal / Reciprocating / Screw compressors), Air Fin coolers, BMS, Fired Heaters, Fire Fighting Equipments like Deluge Valves, Long Range Monitors etc.

Participation and scheduled completion of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of DCS, ESD and F&G Systems including complete Software, Hardware & BOM checking, Communication checking, Graphics checking etc.

Active Participation in HAZOP study & SIL Assessment / IPF Classification Workshop.

Pro-active coordination and Interface with Project Management Team, Client, EPC Contractor, PMC, Project Work-share Office and Instrument Vendors.
