PROFESSIONAL SYNOPSIS AND AREA OF EXPERTISE

• Commercial Operations

Oversee tax planning, computation and payment of all taxes including import and export duties, corporate tax, VAT tax, EXCISE, octroi among others. Oversee Statutory & Internal Audit & Tax Function, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review company performance.

• Import-Export Operations /Supply chain Management

Attending to Customs, Excise, EEPC, ECGC & DGFT litigations with respective appellate authorities. Negotiating with Shipping Lines & Freight Forwarding ensuring best freight rates and timely shipment of Export/ Import Consignments. Devising efficient Logistics Management System, transportation of material at optimum cost, adopting measures for reducing LANDING COST. Introducing easy & fast way of loading unloading with optimum output of manpower. Meeting customer orders by implementing/ monitoring effective procurement schedules along with finalising the specifications of the materials required for operations. Managing sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/ suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability. Implementing key procurement strategies for material; purchase, schedules and ensuring that these strategies and schedules are aligned with organizational objectives. Maintaining inventory without any variance by coordinating with warehouse in respect of stock verification, storage condition, receipts, issues, and shortages. Determining capital requirements and liaising with banks and financial institutions for raising finance to meet working capital and project requirements.

• Purchase /Procurement /Vendor Development/Global Sourcing/Storekeeping

Ensuring scientific material management of stores to maintain optimum level of inventory. Follow up with the schedule of various consultants (Site Managers) for purchase of raw stock and required material.
Ensuring that indents are raised as per time schedule prepared by planning department and the execution team. Monitoring & controlling crashing of activities on regular basis to complete entire job as per schedule.
Uses strong technical skills to direct and assist staff of the stores dept. To ensure implementation & maintaining of ISO standards. To work on cost reduction and quality improvement exercises on regular basis. Cost reduction & saving through alternate vendors.

• Financial Management

Develop and direct financial plans to the strategic business plan, company growth, and market opportunities and direction. Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures, and ensure cash resources are available for daily operations and business and product development. Set-up and/or oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics within the organization. Monitor the company’s corporate liquidity through regular and accurate cash projections. Liaising with Bank Officials, Insurance officials in connection with the Financial and Insurance needs of the company.

• Human Resource and Administration

Human Resource: Strategic Human Resource & Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits and Training & Development. Measuring & reporting HR issues, Development plans within agreed formats and timescales, Designing & implementing standard operating procedures monitoring overall functioning processes. Formulating and developing HR strategies for smooth flow of operations, To Identify improvement areas and implementing adequate measures to maximize efforts. To prepare a handbook, monitor and maintain discipline, track performance for incentive schemes, conduct performance review meetings etc. Recruiting & hiring practices, retention management support and negotiations, Maintaining MIS and other requisite reports.

Office Administration: Asset Management, Facility Management, Maintain Filing systems, Ticketing, Booking of hotels and arranging pick and drop services for senior management staff, maintaining the vehicles of the company. Arranging the conference rooms for meeting, Arranging printing and stationary for the entire group. Maintain the office premise, arrangement of drivers and security officers etc.
