Representing diversity in a conventional business, my choice in education & career demonstrates adaptability, curiosity, insight and relationship management. Having started and spent most of my career in the FMCG industry, I have worked in Industrial raw material, Paints and Aviation Industries too gaining critical experience in B2B Sales, services and durables, marketing, product management, advanced solution selling, customer & alliances management and category development.
After graduating from SBM in 1993, I had gained experience in sales & marketing of consumer goods spanning three categories in multiple roles and locations. I have successfully run businesses while gaining experience in consumer and trade marketing including category management for Modern Trade, innovations management, promotion & activation planning, advertising development & communications management. Having played the role of a functional leader, I have been exposed to both brand development & brand building. Category management, consumer behaviour, go-to-market planning and people management are my key strengths.
As Vice President - Sales for Chellarams Plc, I ran a USD 125 million business while leading a 150+ member, multi-functional team spread across a network of 6 branches in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, I was responsible for setting the regional agenda, designing & implementing sales & customer development strategies and representing the organization in various external forums.
An alumnus of the School of Business Management, I majored in Marketing Management, topped the University Class of 1993 and featured on the Dean's list.
