Accomplishments
Project Management/Events
Implemented the Junior Management Development Programme as an HR trainee in 2007 and received a Service Excellence award for this project.

Managed and delivered the Pioneering Young Women Conference
Absa/Barclays), held in Sandton in July 2013, and again in July 2014 – the latter occasion was on contract-basis. Responsibilities in this project included the attraction campaign, development of the online recruitment tool, selection process, and event management. I also informed the content and briefed the Executive speakers, Stephen van Coller (Chief Executive: Barclays Africa Corporate & Investment Bank), as well as Maria Ramos (Chief Executive: Barclays Africa). This event is an annual three-day conference for top-talented female students in their final year of undergraduate or post graduate studies at universities across SA. The conference culminated in a gala dinner in which the conference delegates could network with Maria and other senior executives and managers at Barclays Africa, as well as various industry leaders.
Employer branding and Customer Satisfaction
In the South Africa Graduate Recruiters Association survey of top graduates in
South Africa in 2010, I was mentioned as a graduate recruiter named by the

surveyed candidates for provided a great candidate experience during the graduate recruitment campaigns at university campuses and as an employer contact. This enhanced Absa's employer brand in the student market.

Process Improvement
Implemented a new process for external stakeholder engagement for Graduates & Bursaries in 2011 - switched from a single employee contact as a communication channel to external stakeholders, to a customer service support channel provided by the Absa Human Resources Call Centre.

Establishment of Strategic Partnerships (client relations)
Established the Absa Science Bursary Programme with the Natural & Agricultural Science Faculty at the University of Pretoria, in partnership with the faculty Dean, Prof Anton Stroh.
Established the Absa Networking Evening for the same faculty at UP, linking Absa's Actuarial Committee and suitable experts in Absa to students and staff in the faculty. This has become an annual event.

Graduate Recruitment and Development
Led the recruitment of graduates for Absa, which constituted the appointment of over 300 graduates over a period three years. I played an active role in the creation of internal advancement opportunities, as well as growth, of talented young professionals. This has led to my building lifelong relationships with inspiring young leaders.

Facilitation & Training
As part of a team of three Lead Facilitators in Barclays Africa, I coordinated and conducted the training pilot in Africa for the new Barclays global management learning programme (Barclays Management Fundamentals) in NovemberDecember 2012.

Conducted the Africa train-the-trainer for Barclays Management Fundamentals, as well as sign-off and coaching of facilitators.

Responsible for qualitative and quantitative reporting on the Africa training pilot for feedback to Barclays Headquarters in London.

Culture Change
Selected and served as one of approximately 1000 Values Leaders within
Barclays global (which comprised of over 400 000 employees), conducting
Values workshops across Absa as part of a new transformation strategy within the Barclays Group.

Public Speaking / MC
Hosted the launch of the 2012 Absa Graduate Development Programme (AGDP) in February 2012:

Co-hosted the Graduation Ceremony of the AGDP, with Maria Ramos and other Absa/Barclays executives in attendance in November 2012. Hosted this event again in November 2013 and December 2014 - this time the programme had advanced to the Pan Africa Graduate Development Programme (PAGDP).

Hosted the CIMA Global Business Challenge sponsor event for the Challenge finalists from 29 countries internationally, held at Barclays Towers West in Johannesburg in 2013.

Hosted the launch of the Pioneering Women Conference in Sandton in July 2013 and July 2014.
