Profile
I was a university professor before I became a Safety Officer, and I have found both careers equally challenging and rewarding. I taught for a substantial number of years, bringing out the best in my students, not only in the classroom but also from within themselves; taught them that learning should not be confined to the four walls of the classroom, but that actual learning is the application of what has been absorbed within the classroom to the world outside. I have brought out from the students their leadership potential and showed them how this can be honed and developed, then used inside and outside the classroom, as students and as future professionals. The leadership training that I passed on to my students I got from my mentors in my 15 years of involvement in network marketing and my voracious reading of motivational books. When I left the academe, I had to fill my hours with activity so I trained as a Safety Officer, and have been one since 2014. I found this career change challenging, but also very rewarding, and am now looking for more challenges to hurdle.
