Reza Sharafat

I am a senior project and programme manager with almost 2 decades of experience in the field of ICT. I started my career as a ERP-consultant engaging in a variety of implementation projects, after which I developed myself into an all-round project manager with a strong affinity for software development, implementations and ICT infrastructure. I operate in large-scale organizations, on both the business side and the ICT-services organization, whereby as a bridge builder developed my expertise in managing projects and programmes where business meets ICT.

In the past 12 years, in the role of project and program manager, I've been responsible for a great number of ICT-related projects and programmes within commercial companies and public implementing agencies, where I have created a proven track record of successfully completed multidisciplinary projects and programmes, within the established time-frame and budget without losing sight of quality. These were projects concerning mission-critical systems and networks, where realization, implementation, consolidation and migration of complex systems - under very tight deadlines - have been executed to meet the demanding business requirements; among which a number of interdepartmental and collaboration projects, regarding data- and telecommunication systems, ICT infrastructure and real-time monitoring and control systems. I like to engage and deal with tough and complex projects, whether it is about technical complexity or organizational toughness, where ‘failure is not an option’!

For many years, I've been involved in a variety of infrastructure (multi-)projects within different companies and organisations; managing complete project life-cycle of projects from initiation until deployment, post-deployment support and delivery to the existing IT-Services organisation, mostly in a 24x7 high-availability environment.

During my career, I've developed an excellent sense for distinct interests of all stakeholders; I am continuously and pro-actively engaged in the process of stakeholder management through clear communication and managing their expectations. As an effective people manager, with strong interpersonal skills, I'm an inspiring manager capable of leading professional teams efficiently to achieve the required performance, with an eye for the human factor.

I'm a strong decision-maker with outstanding analytical skills; pinpoint problems and bottlenecks and make them clear and visible to others. I'm a solid and creative problem solver who turns threats into opportunities. I possess excellent communicative and exceptional persuasive skills, capable of forming a clear and realistic vision and can perfectly convey my vision at various organizational and executive levels to create acceptance and support within the organization. I'm a pragmatist with a strong hands-on mentality.
