In his current experience he has been involved in review and preparation of Loss Prevention Design documents and performing Safety Studies. His experience in EPC / FEED projects in the field of loss prevention engineering for major oil and gas companies such as ADMA-OPCO, ADOC, KGOC etc. broadened the vision of Risk and Safety studies in both Consultancy and Engineering aspects. Extensively involved and expertise in Royal Commission (HCIS) approval process and HCIS Standards requirement.
Understanding of loss prevention engineering like Fire and Gas Detector Layout, Hazardous Area Classification layout, Passive Fire Protection layout, Escape Route Layout, F&G cause and Effect layout etc. enables to implement the safety requirement / regulation as a perfectionist in Risk and Safety studies. His current role also includes performing and participation in various technical safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP SIL, Fire Hazard Assessment Report (FHA), Escape Evacuation and Rescue Assessment (EERA), HSEIA Screening Report, HSEIA Study, COMAH Study, QRA Study, Flare Radiation and Dispersion Study, HSECS and Performance standard, API 14J Review Study etc.
In his previous role as Senior Risk and Safety Engineer, he has been involved in execution and leading various process safety and risk jobs like Quantitative / Qualitative Risk Analysis (QRA), Fire Hazard Analysis (FHA), Hazard Identification (HAZID),Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Escape Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA), HSECES and Performance Standards, HSEIA, Dropped Object Study (DOS), Ship Collision, Bow-Tie, Hazard and Effect Register, Passive Fire protection of the system, Building Risk Assessment and Fire water demand calculation etc.
He is conversant with a wide range of software including DNV PHAST 6.6 and 6.7, PHAST Risk 6.7, Flaresim, BP CIRRUS, PHA Pro 8, Bowtie XP, Pipenet and MS Office.
He has gained extensive process safety and risk engineering experience in diverse areas encompassing end-to-end project management, development of process safety engineering deliverables, preparation of bid package & operations of petrochemical facility, conducting training, managing risk management processes and HSE assessment.
Moreover, being a qualified engineer with Master’s (M.Tech) and Bachelor’s (B.Tech) degree in Chemical engineering is added benefit. Master’s in Engineering helps in considering and understanding the process and criticality of production system effortlessly.
