I am Rajiv Raveendranath with 10 years of procurement experience in the Cement Manufacturing, Retail, and Import & Export. Possess strong knowledge in project planning, scheduling, project estimation, and resource planning and project execution. I am a Master’s graduate in Business and Management from the Bedfordshire School of Business affiliated to the University of Bedfordshire; core modules included Business Data Analysis, International Marketing, Information systems and Advance Management Project. I also am a bachelor’s graduate in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from JNTU University (INDIA).

I am currently working for a UK based trading firm that caters to the packaging industry in India, Sri Lanka and the cement industry in Africa. Within the first year of this job I have secured major clients into my portfolio namely CIMAF group & DANGOTE group.
My previous work experience was as a Commercial Manager for Cement Manufacturing group based in West Africa. During my work at the WACEM group, I successfully handled the procurement for the construction of a 1 million ton /annum integrated cement plant in the Republic of Mali. Upon successful commissioning of the plant I was given the additional responsibility of cement sales which I handled for 15 months along with my purchase and logistics of the operational plant.
Being part of the core project team reporting to the Director of the organization, I scouted for new projects in the region and analysed key factors like risk analysis, cost/benefit analysis, value assurance, risk management and market research. I played a pivotal role in the setting up of a project for a cement grinding Unit in Guinea Conakry (500,000 tons/annum capacity).I conducted periodic project review meetings with the various project teams at different geological locations to understand the key issues that might hinder the success of the project.

I am seeking a job position where I can put my expertise and experience along with excellent documentation and communication skills to use.
