Credit Suisse Business Analytics India Pvt Ltd, Mumbai from Jun-2015 till Mar-2016:- Worked as Vice President, Operational Risk Management & Reporting. Managing a team of 32 Operational Risk Professionals and was responsible for:-
 Operational Risk Management and Reporting: - Measuring, monitoring and reporting the firm’s operational risk position across IB & PB world, spanning across various businesses and trading strategies. Recommending the firm’s operational risk tolerances to senior management, determining the size and composition of department/division’s operational risk according to BASEL category. Managing and deploying operational risk policies and practices.
 Regulatory Management: - Engaging with various regulators (PRA/JFSA/FINMA, SEC, FRB etc). Basel III/CRD IV etc for operational risk report submission and to meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities spanning across migration and operational management of 3 business streams and 17 member team. [European Credit Trading, Structured Credit Trading and GRS]. My assignments were:-


 Calculation of daily pnl, reconciliation of trader estimate with pnl generated, conducting sensitivity analysis, analysis of Risk for FI desk, Modification/New business analysis and trader reporting.
 Commentary evaluations on PnL swing and evaluate the sensitivity of credit, interest rate movements and default exposure.
 Strategized the creation of core excellence in product control domain expertise.
 Worked on a transformation & consolidation projects, identification of NVA’s.
 Supported DB Bangalore in formation/evolution of product control domain with apt operating /control framework design.
 Led and took the end to end responsibility for process due diligence, process documentations, transition governance, risk assessment & mitigation plan with solutioning methodology of pnl transition process.

Cognizant Technology Solutions (I) Pvt Ltd from August 2010 till Oct 2012: - Worked as Deputy General Manager and head of APAC product control team for UBS Treasury Division through Cognizant technologies solution Hyderabad. Role Exposure: Lead a team of 50 FTE’s, which includes Service Delivery Manager, Team Manager, Team Leaders, SME’s, SPE ‘s, and Process executives and was responsible for :

 Reviewing daily adjustments of MTM pnl and providing commentaries on the fixed income exposures owing to expected & unexpected yield change.
 Reviewing daily mark to market trade position across Fixed Income Products viz: Bonds, Futures, Swaps, CDS and Commodities.
 Financial control implies mainly on verification of business balance sheet and month end reporting
 Product control includes testing and determination of reserve requirements, Adhoc modeling investigation and analysis of specific trends and pnl issues.
 Conducting Delta and Vega analysis and identifying unexplained change in price of fixed income products.
 Validation of month-end charges, the corresponding P&L adjustments and reporting of month-end/ YTD P&L’s, with supporting commentary
 Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet, with substantiation and reserve analysis.
 Review and closure of all balance sheet accounts as per the GBSOV policy – all RED balances are reviewed with action plan.
 Additional finance responsibilities which includes :-
• Monitoring and review of actual v/s budgeted on all financial & non-financial parameters of various finance transitioning projects.
• Conducting variance analysis, ongoing process constraint analyses and recommending counteractive pricing reports to senior management.


Deutsche Bank Group, Mumbai from November 2006 till August 2010: – Worked as Manager for MICS [Market and Information Control System], responsibilities spanning migration and operational management of Structured and Integrated Credit Trading business, Emerging Market P/L, Commodities Market P/L and Flow syndicate PnL

Role Exposure: Lead a team of 24 FTE’s, which includes Analyst, Senior Analyst and was responsible for

 Performance reporting which includes preparation and reporting of PnL along with commentary analysis and PnL attribution
 Risk reporting, which includes analysis, and reporting of risk sensitiveness of financial products.
 Daily PnL production and analysis of Risk for the Structured Credit Trading Desk.
 Calculation of the various Greeks (Delta & Gamma) on sensitive trades and trades with high CR.
 Conducting sensitivity analysis, this involves calculations of IR Delta/CSO1 Delta based on the movements in Interest Rate/Yield Curves and the Credit Spreads.
 New deal analysis, which involves trade specific valuation/attribution analysis.
 To ensure all Bonds, Swaps and CDS are properly priced. Proper check if all the trades are in line with the Banks risk policies and whether the trades are adequately hedged, before finalizing the PnL and Risk for the sector.


American Express (I) Pvt Ltd: F.C-East New Delhi May 2003 till October 2006: -
Worked in a fully owned Subsidiary of American Express as a Team Member in Global Accounts Reconciliation Team supporting Europe, Middle East and African regions. This center acts as a financial center for Europe, Middle East, and African Regions and for Latin American regions. Company being the pioneers in banking/travel related services and key players in credit card business, internationally offers highest standards of quality to its customers by adopting and implementing six sigma methodologies. They are also into financial advisory services and real estate business. The assignments were:

 Reconciliation, research and clearance of bank accounts, travel accounts, implement accounting, foreign card member remittances of representative regions.
 Handling reconciliation’s for bank accounts, GL accounts, sub-ledger accounts, Inter-company accounts, and TBV accounts for the entire Europe, Middle East and African region. Generating monthly reports on the basis of open items and CDF analysis on the status of bank accounts for EMEA region.
 Responsible for maintaining rating of accounts in accordance with bank reconciliation policy and monitoring periodical status of rated accounts.
 Preparing MIS reports for the purpose of generating performance review status of various accounts.
 Root cause analysis for slippage of accounting items, outstanding adjustment items, and suspected banking transactions. Reviewing client deliverable’s for quality and technical accuracy.
 Successfully completed Six Sigma Green Belt Training. Led a team with four team members (from an SME perspective), which automated TBV Accounts to TBV-M accounts thereby gaining efficiency save of 4.5 FTE’s.


EXL Service (I) Pvt Ltd (August 26th 2002 to March 28th 2003):
Worked as Financial Analyst, managing finance and operations of a 100% US holding Company M/s EXL Inc fully owned by FT VENTURES AND OAKHILL PARTNERS Inc, one of the America’s largest sources for insurance, investments and lending products through its subsidiaries and a nation wide network of distributions. The assignments were:

 Part of a project team for reducing errors to achieve six sigma level, doing various query reviews, root cause analysis and feasibility analysis.
 Being part of various audit discussions and prepared executive summary reports. Dealing with lapsed/surrendered policies and analyzing the financial impacts.


Sundarlam Industries, Bangalore (May 25th 1999 to July 15th 2002):
Worked as Accounts Assistant in Sundarlam Industries Bangalore and the assignments were:

 Assisting statutory and internal auditors in smooth completion of auditing process. Ascertainment of operational cost at various levels of production and checking purchase requisition at regular intervals.
 Analyzing actual manufacturing cost, preparing periodic reports and comparing standard to actual production cost.
