Worked on various resources setup, installation and configuration of WebSphere Application Server ND 6.0/6.1/7.0/8.5, IBM Http Server, Oracle iplanet and Apache Webserver.

Project : Walmart (Retail corporation)
Project Duration : April 2016 – Present

Responsibilities and Details:

All Administrative tasks in WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server and Apache Tomcat.
Responsible for plan preparations of installation, updating and uninstall (decommission) of applications, application serves and Web-servers on TEST, STAGE and PRODUCTION environments.
Handling almost 20 change requests per shift on daily basis through systematic Change Management process. Used BMC Remedy and Service-now for tracking Incidents, Changes Requests and Work-orders.
Trouble shooting various problems at production and non-production environments.
PMR creation and closely working with IBM to get resolve the problem and finding the root cause.
Installation of Fixpacks and iFixes for WebSphere application server and IBM http Server.
Handling critical production issues by joining bridge through WebEx meetings.
Ensure every ticket is being walked from inception to satisfactory completion in the shortest possible time, with the best quality of response.
Providing support for Apache Geronimo.
Follow up on all alert tickets, warnings need to be updated frequently and critical needs updates at least every 15 minutes. Continue to Look for client requests and ensure they are getting technically rich responses.

Responsibilities and Details
Understanding the architecture of Project.
Deploying various profiles which have EAR, JAR mappings to various environments including Component Integration dev, QA, performance testing and Prod environments and ensuring environment readiness for testing after each latest deploys.
Troubleshooting by analyzing server logs and enabling trace components for further analysis.
Understanding the message flow structure and troubleshooting issues related to message flow.
Coordinating with teams like Datapower, MQ, Siteminder policy server, Database, UNIX, Network for connectivity and other issues.
Auto deployment using rundeck and troubleshooting the auto deployment issues.
Wrote scripts and set up cronjob for cleanup logs and consolidate the JVM parameters.
Taking and Analyzing the heap and thread dumps using heap and thread dump analyzer tools.
Working closely with testing and development teams to resolve test outages in time there by improving execution turnaround time for their test scenarios.
Raising PMR with IBM and working with IBM team for all the major issues.

Description
Websphere deploy team is highly responsible to ensure smooth transition of code base from Dev to Prod environment, providing complete support to project teams at all stages of development. This has been accomplished by having routine deploy on daily basis to test runway environment with latest code changes and deploying to QA environment prior to monthly Prod release schedule, and by providing continuous support via all possible communication at each and every stages of development. As an On-call support, attending/involving in all outage calls effectively and providing in time solutions efficiently.

Responsibilities and Details
Providing 100 percent availability as on-call support and delivered continuous support to the customers and also in demand.
Deploying various profiles which have EAR, JAR mappings to various environments including Component Integration testing boxes, Staging, QA and Prod environments and ensuring environment readiness for testing after each latest deploys.
Involving major incidents proactively and worked in Emergency releases in Prod environment.
