Patrick Alfarid is currently the Business Development and Management Consultant appointed by AVETSA Australian Vocational Education Training Skills Academy as a Malaysian Representative based in Seremban with its HQ in Brisbane Australia. He is also providing management, technical training and consultancy. He has more than 30 years experience in various positions and industries in his career. His technical plus management skills has given him the competitive edge in his career development.

Alfarid started his career in Motorola Kuala Lumpur and his field of study is in Automotive engineering and Human Resource Management specializing in Human Resource Development from recruitment to succession planning and career development. He has 35 years of experience covering Management Leadership Development, Quality Management, Technical OJT and EHS programs. He has recently acquired his advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Australian VET Center as part of his continuous learning initiative.
His recent achievement as a COO was in Operational improvements through Short Cycle Management, improving production systems, change overtime reduction and workplace organization that reduced the operational expense by RM 4 Million in 2014.
He has successfully developed the Competency Development Curriculum and implemented the R&D competency curriculum and assessment for the Researchers, Scientist and Engineers, identifying competency levels by individual, by position, by department by organization.
He is a trained and certified Motorola University 101 TTT Trainer and has conducted TTT programs for Motorola University staff and other corporate organizations. In 1994, he was selected for work attachment at Motorola Bathgate Scotland to develop its technical curriculum.
He is also trained in Targeted Selection, an Interviewing Techniques program by DDI at Motorola Learning Center. He has also developed his own training materials and has conducted 5 Interviewing Techniques Training for Carre Four Supermarket managers.
He is trained and certified in CMMI ( Capability Maturity Model Index ) and PCMM ( People Capability Maturity Matrix at MIMOS and received certificate from Carnegie Mellon University for Organization Development and attained Level 3 Soft ware standard certification.
At Motorola he was trained in Malcolm Ball ridged quality system and attended both the Business Excellence Training in KL and BE Assessor training in Kucing conducted by MPC.
At Philips as the Training manager he was also the program manager for Philips QIC (Quality Improvement Competition) has trained and coached QIC teams to 4 Philips Regional and 4 World Finals participating in Bali, Seoul, Shanghai, Orlando, Rome and Cape Town. TQ
