Hello!
I was working as a Developer Intern at Scalend technologies, a Big Data startup. As a part of the Data Science team, I played a key role in building personalized recommendation engine
over Spark cluster on AWS and interactive dashboards using D3.

This opportunity gave me a great insight on machine learning techniques using spark’s MLlib which helped me complete a research academic project discussing techniques to improve the accuracy of recommendation engines.

Being a data enthusiast, I have taken up several projects in the big data domain including an application called “Corruption Vigilance System” which intends to expose
offenders in real time environment using tweets.

I have also co-authored a paper titled “Real Time Opinion Mining of Twitter” published in International Journal of Computer
Science and Information Technologies, discussing few techniques that can be used for real time procurement of tweets and its analysis.

With a strong technical background which includes hands-on experience with various Big Data frameworks and services offered by AWS cloud computing platform and my ability to look through
projects in different perspectives, I am confident that I can contribute in creating value to clients while making an immediate difference.
