Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Development of 3D and 2D models using various CAD tools such as Solid Works, Pro E (Creo3.0) and Auto CAD
• PRODUCT DESIGN & TOOL DESIGN development.
• Developing jigs, tools & fixtures as per predefined specifications, which includes jigs for welding ( Fit up Fixtures , Gas purging etc ), assembly , and also jigs & fixtures for machining purposes
• Undertaking testing/inspection of jigs & fixtures specification
• Generating design for various Scientific and Industrial instruments (HVAC & others), which are to be used in a controlled environment
• Involved in generating designs for initial prototypes and also for serial production
• Good understanding of DFMEA
• Administering the assembly of New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure that Engineering drawings are released and processed on time for NPI BUILD
• Creating complete designs using Solid Modeling, Sheet Metal, Plastic, Polymers and Rubber. assuring competitive aesthetic value of the whole product
• Creations of BOMs, Detailed Drawings and Exploded drawings for the whole assembly
• FEA (finite element analysis) Analysis to study various Critical Parameters
• Meeting design requirements and documenting as per standards
• Designs are generated after careful analysis using the concept DFMA(Design for Manufacturing and Assembly)
• Rendering using Keyshot.
• Coordinating with various departments, developing products and managing all category activities
• Responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling the Manufacturing Processes
• Making key decisions towards Material of construction on the product.
• Communicating with the sales team to understand more about the product’s performance at FIELD.
• Creation of CAD databases.
• Communicate with and direct external suppliers of components, subassemblies, and finished assemblies.
• Generating and documenting intellectual property.
