Iqbal Ali

I am an experienced industrial fire training officer with a proven track record within the chemical and petrochemical industry. I was recently employed by Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) which is a major producer of oil and gas from the offshore areas of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. My primary role was to supervise the activities of the Fire Training Centre, under the direction of the Fire and Rescue Team Leader, and ensure that all training is completed in line with accepted standards and Fire Service policies.

Past experiences include employment with SembCorp UK (now Falck Fire Service), as a Crew Manager which involved managing a shift of fire fighters on a day to day basis. As part of my development I completed a level 3 Watch Management NVQ qualification, as well as completing the JOIFF Diploma Responding to Operations and the A1 assessor’s qualification. I also completed a BTEC Level 5 Certificate in Management Studies (CMS).

I initially gained experience in the chemical industry as a Chemical Process technician as well as successfully completing an apprenticeship at Teesside Training Enterprise, Wilton.

In my spare time I lead a very active lifestyle, which sees me participate in league football, club volleyball and attending the gym. I also have a passion for travelling and general socialising with friends and family.
