I am a Seasoned Internal Audit Professional (qualified member of ACA (ICAEW), ACCA, and CIA) and have over 16 years of relevant Advisory and Assurance experience.
As an Internal Audit Professional, I have performed risk based assignments with an objective of identifying relevant risks within the organisation, assessing the control environment, recommending potential controls improvements and following up on those recommendations.
Most recent experience of working as the Head of Internal Audit - Quality Assurance, Planning and Development for the largest bank in Saudi Arabia. I was responsible for the following:
Performing Risk Assessment exercise across the Bank;
Developing a Risk Based Annual Internal Audit Plan, to be approved by the Audit Committee;
Ensuring that the Quality of audit working papers is in line with the IIA standards;
Regularly monitoring the progress against the approved plan, to ensure targets are achieved and identifying early warning signs;
Reviewing the quality of the final audit reports, to ensure its appropriateness and clarity.
