1. I served in the Indian Navy for about 24 Years and thereafter worked in Bharati Shipyard Ltd, India as Head (Projects). More recently, I was heading an Indo-Norwegian JV involved in providing turnkey solutions for shipboard accommodation.

2. My experience includes: -

(a) Service onboard various warships as Engineer Officer (Missile Boat, Minesweeper, OPV and SNF).

(b) Ship Repair in Naval Dockyards at Mumbai and Visakhapatnam.
(c) Setting up Yard Infrastructure for Ship Repair encompassing Selection, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning of various types of Machinery such as Compressors, Generators, DM Water Plants, RO Plants, Waste Heat Recovery Desalination Plants, Piping etc.

(d) Project Management in a Shipyard which included Installation and Commissioning of Propulsion and Power Generation Machinery, Compressors, Boilers, Waste Heat Recovery Units, STPs, RO Plants, STPs, Piping (SS, Steel, Copper, CPVC etc), Negotiations for Subcontracting of onboard work, Resolution of Design related issues (with Class as well as Design), Dockside and Sea Trials of Ships followed by Project Delivery.

(e) Project Management in the Corporate Office of a Shipyard which included selection and negotiations for the procurement of Propulsion Machinery, Generators, Compressors, RO Plants, Waste Heat Recovery Systems, Piping and Valves, Passive Stabilization systems etc etc.

(f) As the Head of a Company involved in providing in turnkey accommodation solutions for ships. I was involved in all aspects of the Company’s operations such as Marketing, preparation of Bids, Cash Flow Analyses, Detailed Design, Ensuring compliance to Classification Society Rules, Material Procurement, Sub-Contracting, Installation, Commissioning and Delivery.
