Hello, I’m Fred Engh, founder of the National and International Alliances for Youth Sports. I’ve dedicated my career to improving children’s lives through the power of sports. In 1999, I authored Why Johnny Hates Sports, a groundbreaking look at the challenges in organized sports, and in 2015, I shared my life story in Unsinkable Spirit. My most recent book, Your Passion Can Change the World: Start a Nonprofit from Scratch, is a powerful guide for changemakers looking to turn their vision into action.
