I am Deepak Chaturvedi, a Civil Engineer with a total experience of over 25 years. During these 25 years I have worked for top retailers, corporate, real estate developers etc. My experience includes all types of interior works, construction works (for offices, plants, hospital, retail stores etc.) and I have also handled MEP works.
I am currently working with “Indus Ventures” as Managing Partner. Indus Ventures is a Consultancy firm, established in 2007, that has expertise in Management Consulting, Franchising & Licensing, Business Start-ups & Structuring, Corporate Legal Advisory, HR Recruitment, Project Management and Real Estate Advisory. I joined this firm in 2014.
My previous assignment was been with a leading PE firm TPG Wholesale Pvt Ltd as Vice President- Property Development, heading the Projects and Property Development for Vishal Mega Mart and posted at Gurgaon
I have been very successful in efficiently handling both the project management and property leasing/ development functions at multiple locations simultaneously. I can proudly state that I have been a key element in the impressive and successful expansion of Vishal Mega Mart, Spencer's and VLCC across the length and breadth of the country.
My responsibilities include site finalization, vendor finalization, fit out works etc. It basically is a start to finish responsibility that starts with identifying potential towns, market analysis, location finalization, layouts finalization, BOQ's & vendor finalization, site management, budget control, quality control, billing etc and concludes with handing over to operations after launch.
During the last 4 years with Vishal, we successfully refurbished approximately 2.50 million sq.ft trading area i.e. 120 stores across the country. In the FY 2014- 15 we added 38 stores of approximate area 0.6 million sq.ft as against the targeted 36 nos.
I bring with me a rich experience both in terms of property finalization and project management.
