Bathymetric Survey, Bathymetry is the study of underwater depth of lake or ocean floors. In other words, bathymetry is the underwater equivalent to topography; originally, bathymetry involved the measurement of Ocean depth through depth sounding. Early techniques used pre-measured heavy rope or cable with sounding ball. Now there are lot of Instruments to measure the depth and position such as (ECHO SOUNDER. MULTY BEAMS)

• Planned, directed and conducts surveys of land areas of such size that shape and size exerts sufficient influence on survey measurements to require use of special high-accuracy techniques, including astronomical observations and complex computations to compile data used in preparation of geodetic maps and charts.

• Participated in survey parties engaged in surveying earth’s surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, map making, land division, titles, mining, or other purposes.
