• Over all 9 Years of Experience in the Electrical field which includes 4 + years in oil and Gas, Involved in installation &inspection of various electrical equipments/systems in the new build and refurbishment of Jack up rigs/vessels.
• Mechanical completion and QC inspection of the various electrical equipments (generators, motors, switchboards, DBs, transformers, etc) and electrical systems (i.e. Small power & Lightings, Emergency lighting, Navigation/Obstruction Lighting, Helideck lighting, Emergency shutdown system, PA, GA, Fire & Gas etc) to ensure that they are installed properly and comply with relevant electrical codes & standards.
• Familiar with IEEE, IEC, ABS, codes and standards.
• Reviewing drawings, procedures and electrical specifications/forms of the various new build and refurbishment Jack up rigs/vessels.
• Witnessing the current injection test of breakers, High Voltage test of Bus bars and Factory Acceptance Test of various electrical equipments.
• Liaising with Clients / Third Party surveyors regarding the project.
• Ability to check activities against approved drawings, specification and relevant codes & standards.
• Coordinating, controlling and monitoring all electrical Inspection activities during installation and carrying out the stage wise inspections as per AFC (Approved for Construction) drawingsand preparing its relevant documents.
• Review electrical plans, drawings& material lists to make sure that proper equipment is installed as per the requirement. Issue Non-conformance Reports (NCR) if there is any violation on it.
