I am a Metallurgical Engineer having 14+ years of experience Operations, Engineering & Technical services of different MIDREX DRI plants.

I am presently working with Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. since February 2012 to till date as Assistant General Manager Operations
.
Functional Area: Technical Services, Process Engineering and Production planning
 Study and Tracking of daily process parameters and improve overall performance to achieve product quality as per quality standard
 Review of daily costing sheet and monthly Profitability in consultation with Finance department for submitting to top Management.
 Cost benefit analysis for different grades of Oxide Pellets & Lumps and carrying R&D in the use of new raw material and thereafter successfully utilizing them.
 To coordinate with commercial department for smooth transaction of raw material and bulk dispatch.
 Coordination with marketing department and to ensure that Customer specifications with respect to both Chemical composition & Physical size of DRI are within the mutually agreed upon limits.
 Guiding subordinates for production entries in SAP and generating reports.
 Involve in departmental budgetary planning and making reports to pursue management for issuance of necessary budget as per projected Annual Business Plan.
Functional Area: Operation & Maintenance
 Managing the shift activities as Production shift In charge
 Actively participating in Shutdown, Breakdown, Preventive maintenance, Root cause analysis, Man power management, Trouble shooting, Training and developments, TPM & 5s activities.
Functional Area: Project Management
Assisted in one brown field & one green field MIDREX DRI projects and my prime responsibilities include:-.
 Monitoring and making progress reports in accordance with project plan.
 HAZOP studies of various systems, equipment’s & process as a whole during Design & Engineering phase.
 Review of Technical specifications and design and operating parameters of various equipment’s and giving recommendation’s with regard to different operating cases.
 Assisted in fulfilling Statuary compliances from government bodies like Consent to operate, IBR, CCOE etc.
 Preparing of SOP’s, Startup, Shutdown & Emergency procedures in consultation with commissioning experts.
 Study of P&ID’s, Logic diagrams, Mass & Energy balance. Logic building & its implementation.
 Logic simulation before safe start of major equipment’s like centrifugal & lobe compressors, Hydraulics etc.
 Getting offers from vendors, studying and evaluating them after preparing comparisons and giving technical recommendations.
