background in developing and administering disaster management and emergency response systems, workplace safety, fire prevention and protection systems, business continuity and HSE. Throughout my career I have led professional teams that have focused on mitigating hazards and responded to crises expeditiously. Along with a Master’s qualification in Emergency and Disaster Management, I have also undergone professional trainings to continuously improve my competencies. For a large duration of my career I was working with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and always demonstrated my commitment to operational excellence.

My latest assignment was as a Senior Consultant – Disaster and Emergency Management with RIMSCO where I advised clients on setting up disaster management and emergency response systems. Earlier I held the position of Emergency Response Coordinator with KOC and had numerous achievements and contributions to my name. I developed the Corporate Emergency Response Plan, and constituted the Crisis Management Centre and Emergency Control Centre. I developed and implemented effective crisis management strategies and emergency plans. Previously, I worked extensively in the Fire Division of KOC, starting as Assistant Fire Officer, then Fire Officer and finally Senior Fire Officer. During this assignment I had been part of the team that had extinguished the fire at Rumailah oil field. I had also actively participated in controlling the fires burning in 42 oil wells in Kuwait in 1991.

I have expertise in all types of safety gear, firefighting equipment, Security Systems and machinery and have trained teams extensively on these. I have also developed good working relationships with other emergency response agencies during my career.
