Abdurraouf Abuagela

I am Head of Gas Production at Qatargas Operating Company based in Doha since June 2011. I am leading a number of strategic projects. I am also managing a team of multi nationality engineers.

August 2010 – June 2011 I was the Production Technology Manager for Wintershall in Libya with a top priority to maximize oil production from fields were produced by means of artificial lift, such as gas-lift, ESP's and other fields required EOR technology such as water injection.

2005 – 2010 I was the Wintershall Senior Production Engineer in The Netherlands and Germany.

1997 – 2005 I worked as field engineer (at onshore Field Operations) and later as principle production engineer (at the head office) for Wintershall in Libya.

I have more than 18 years’ experience in production engineering and petroleum related activities. I am expert in well performance, production optimization, artificial lift design and troubleshooting. I have strong understanding for the inflow/outflow performance relationship, hydrocarbon accounting, back-allocation, transportation/sales agreements and production volume planning & deferments forecast. I have long experience using most of petroleum engineering tools & software packages
