A tertiary B.Sc. Hons(Geology), a B. Tech. with P.G. Studies in Petroleum Engineering from top UNIs/Institutes in India with academic and industry experience spanning around four decades in Energy, Mines & Metals, Oil, Gas spaces in leadership roles, a career starting as Design/Development Engineer, growing to Country Operations Manager and CEO/Director with Global E & P Majors, E/C TNCs, R & D and Consultancy leaders in multi-cultural environment in highly challenging and diverse geographic regions such as India, Africa, USA, Europe, Central Asia, South East Asia and the Middle East.
Early decade in career includes experience in concept to completion of petrochemical/chemicals, Ammonia/Urea Plants, oil/gas fields and production facilities, pipelines, tank farms, Copper/ Zinc mines, beneficiation plants and smelters/ refinery, steel plants.
Management and technical leadership role included strategic initiatives viz. start-up of its India Design Office new entities/offices e.g. building a seven hundred plus strong organization, from zero for Bechtel Group Inc.’s India office, setting-up business processes, tools, recruitment and training; business planning and management, business acquisition/development. operations(P/L) management, program & projects management, Project Controls, HSE and Quality management, PMC/EPCM/EPC/ Engineering contract management, fabrication, installation and commissioning management.
Programs and projects delivered included R&D Programs for development of technology for tidal energy from Indian ocean waves, sea-bed mining of minerals from Indian Ocean floor; development of onshore & offshore upstream oil/gas fields and production facilities, brownfield upgrade of upstream production facilities, tank farms, mid-stream infra-facilities(Pipeline, terminal, SBM, oil tanker berth); petroleum refineries, Petrochemicals Plants, LNG Liquefaction plants, terminals & SBM; 450MW combined cycle co-gen power plants in UK, USA, India; Copper/Lead/ Zinc mines, beneficiation plants and copper/lead/zinc smelter/refinery, steel plants, seaport, airport etc.
