My experience is with implementing & monitoring company policies & procedures regarding offshore/onshore QHSE. 29 years total working experience in the Oil & Gas industry involved in exploration drilling on Semisubmersible & Jack ups and land drilling/workover rig in Oil& Gas sector. Extensive offshore practical/land experience with a minimum of 23 years in an offshore/land drilling HSE position with an E &P Operator(s). Large experience on offshore platform fabrication/construction, rigless, rig upgrade, refurbishment operations and activities, 19 years especially in HSE related positions. Preparation & delivery of offshore/land HSE documentation. Strong experience in drilling & well operations, which include: Ensuring that all Well operations activities and equipment are in accordance with HSE regulations, policies, standards and best practices, thereby assuring the safety of all personnel, Company assets and the Environment. Training personnel, DROP’S program, PTW System, Confined Space entry, LO/TO, Loss prevention, Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Chemical handling, SIMOP’s, Manual handling, Accident Prevention, Work Over Water, Work at Height, Rigging & Lifting, Develop Safe Working Procedures, Risk Assessment, Waste Management, Incident Investigation, Spill Prevention, Firefighting & Emergency Response. Experienced working within a compliance management systems such as safety (OHSAS 18001), environmental (ISO 14001). Proficient in use of computer programs such as Power point, Excel, Word and Microsoft/ Outlook.

Other accountability & responsibilities included: Fully committed to develop HSE culture and support site based personnel including spending significant time onsite. Rendering safety training & induction to all newly joined employees prior to their introduction to site. Ensuring Pre-start up & Tool-box talk meetings conducted in a daily basis prior to commencing of every activity. Overseeing condition laid down in the associated PTW was observed with respect to hot, cold & confined space permits with the regular PTW audits at work site. Overseeing confined space i.e., application of confined space procedure, site preparation, etc. Ascertaining all personnel wearing Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as well as its availability as per the safety rules. Training rig personnel (OJT), verifying training of personnel to bring their standards up in terms of legal obligations and safety training requirements. Provided written reports, documentation and statistics as directed by the field HSE management. Monitored HSE program controls and management systems; recommended needed improvements and assisted the OIM/Rig Foreman in their implementation.


Conducting accident / incident investigation, reporting and facilitation of root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and to maintain zero accident / incident goal and all findings and information reported into the company systems. Supported and advised personnel on all relevant aspects of QHSE Risk Assessments and drafting JRA’s (job risk assessment). Conducted frequent site safety equipment and housekeeping audits and inspections and submit reports of hazardous conditions and unsafe work practices with recommendations for corrective action to appropriate supervisors. Inspecting of lifesaving equipment, firefighting safety equipment, including site PPE equipment and testing devices to make sure they are in good order, calibrated and properly maintained. Monitoring & Implementation of H2S procedures and verifying that H2S related critical equipment is in the assigned place. Assisting and analyzing periodic and regular emergency response safety drills. Conducted training and different exercises for all employees involved in fire drills. Conducted training for rig personnel with regard to environment awareness and waste segregation. I’m focused on identifying HSE training requirements amongst the multi-cultural and local crews on board.
I will be an exceptional candidate for offshore or land drilling site HSE role, having spent all 23 years on offshore jack up & semisubmersible & land rig drilling operations as Offshore HSE Advisor and Rig Safety & Training Coordinator. I have been based on jack ups in the Arabian & Persian Gulf offshore Saudi Arabia & Iran and earlier in career on jack ups & Semisubmersible on offshore Vietnam, Thailand & Indonesia. I have worked directly for and alongside Operators Chevron and Saudi Aramco on complex H2S operations on jack up & land rigs in the Middle East. I have knowledge and experience of both extreme H2S and HPHT operations offshore the Middle East. Also, I have an excellent record of monitoring & implementing H2S policy & procedures and emergency response procedures on offshore operations.
I have large experience working within a multiple nations and environment. Ability to work in harsh environments (examples include temperature and / or humidity extremes.
