Ulysses Almeida

I am a Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of experience in Project Management and Project
Engineering in different industries including mining and building services. Throughout my career, I
have safely delivered multimillion-dollar projects in different locations throughout Australia. Most
recently, I delivered an innovative $3 million pumping solution in the Bowen Basin safely, on time
and on budget. In recent years, I have performed High Potential Incidents investigations as part of
my role.
Having lived in Brazil, the USA and Australia, I am fluent in Portuguese and English, and can
understand Spanish. In my spare time, I enjoy home renovations and I am a recreational pilot for
ultra light aircrafts.
I have worked for more than 10 years in engineering and project management roles at several sites
throughout Australia. Working in different environments with diverse groups of people has helped
me develop the confidence and communication skills required to successfully deliver projects.
My background in drafting has given me a solid knowledge of drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit,
SolidWorks and Inventor). I am proficient in Microsoft Office including Project and Excel. I have
extensive experience with SAP. I skilfully present detailed reports, documents and presentations at
a very high standard.
I have a proven track record of success in evaluating and generating innovative solutions, ensuring
continued productivity and workplace health and safety. I demonstrate strong problem-solving and
analytical skills with determination and persistence, proactively lead team members in planned,
unplanned and high-demand situations to eliminate any impact on productivity. I confidently
delegate tasks and responsibilities with the ability to prioritise and coordinate several projects
simultaneously, adapting effectively to challenging and emergency situations.
