I have more than 26 years sound of experience in Project Control, Project Management, Planning, Cost control, Budget & Proposal, Risk , Claim management & Change Order Management in Onshore & Off-shore with various types Oil and Gas Projects (Pipelines, Piping, Equipment, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation works), Infrastructure Development (Sewerage, Drainage, Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecommunication Networks, Building Construction, Roads). I have working experience in multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning projects such as in Shell Petroleum Development Company Of Nigeria Ltd, LUOK Oil in (Uzbekistan); Petro Energy (Sudan); KAROON Petrochemical Company (IRAN), Saudi ARAMCO (Saudi Arab, KJO), Qatar Petroleum (Qatar), Petronas Gas Berhad (Malaysia), MECON (I) LTD (India) Durgapur Steel Plant. I have strong working experience on Primavera software P6-V8.2 & 3.1 & I having good communication skill, team work & leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities & hand-on experience:-

Assists Project Manager in monitoring & controlling the following project parameters

• Lead a team of project control professionals which includes project planning, cost control, procurement, document control and resource/logistical administration in coordination with project senior staff and company relevant stakeholders.
• Develop as required project control strategies, plans and procedures to achieve a holistic and integrated project control system during all phases of the project.
• Establishment of all required project controls systems, guide their set up and integration through common coding and structures.
• Prepares projects Performance evaluation reports and alerts Senior Management on actual performance of all projects under execution. Highlight constraints to the Client & Management and suggesting corrective step. Perform periodic project schedule risk analysis.
• Provide guidance in the development and maintenance of all primary project services control documents, including; Contracts log, Change Order Register, Trend Register, Cost Report, Project Master Schedule and Risk Register.
• Accountable for overseeing all commercial aspects involved in the development, tendering and execution of the EPC Contracts and Purchase arrangements made between company and Suppliers.
• Manage the assessment, negotiation and recommended settlement of all significant change orders and amendments in conjunction with the Project Service Manager, Project Managers and other members of the Project Services Team.
• Manage the development of the cost estimate through to Final Investment Decision (FID) approval, ensure alignment of all stakeholders on cost and schedule and full transparency of the estimate development process.
• Coordinate with the Finance Directorate to ensure timely processing and execution of all accounting and finance related items for project, with special attention to budget, funding and invoice payments.
• Support tendering activities (including tender preparation, pre-qualification, bid evaluation and award) for Concept Optimization, FEED & EPC contracts for all project controls related elements.
• Recommend and monitor the acceptability of contractor submitted planning package including proposal for schedule development, progress measurement, KPI’s and reporting to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Support the development and implementation of project HSE and QA/QC processes/procedures and activities in close coordination with the HSE and QA/QC project management team.
• Oversee project resource deployment and recruitment activities in close coordination with HR & OS Departments in order to ensure timely recruitment of the required resources.
• Interface with the Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Department to ensure timely processing and execution of all IT/IM and ORACLE related activities, and timely availability of IT equipment and software.
• Support Nigerian development through the mentoring, training and development of nominated Nigerian Nationals in order to realize the full potential for local talents, and maximize contribution to project success.
• Preparation of engineering & Procurement deliverable register worked out for each discipline, in-line with the Project schedule and to monitor the status of project deliverables Engineering/Procurement progress. Also to prepare/issue Behind Schedule deliverable report and Delay analysis.
• Planning / monitoring / expediting of multidiscipline Engineering activities update FEED package, Design Basis Memorandum, PFD's, P&ID's, Equipment List, Line list, Tie-in schedule, Plot Plans, Overall Single Line Diagram, Instrumentation Cable Block Diagrams, Process Equipment & Utilities Datasheets, MTO, Technical Bid Evaluation, Finalization of Key Deliverables.
• Review level I, II , III & IV schedule (CPM Network using Primavera P6- V8.2). Review & updated project schedule based on the contract requirement. 1 week, 4 weeks looks ahead schedule for project execution of job. Prepare weekly hindrances & effect on progress/ Schedule.
• Development of logic, activity sequence and critical path for projects of all disciplines.
• Planning / monitoring / expediting of Procurement activities from PR raised to material delivery at site for long lead items, bid document preparation & issuance, review, clarification & evaluation of bids, recommend successful bidders, prepare letters of intent, prepare contact documents.
• Billing, estimate the total cost of project, conduct the pre-qualification of bidders.
• Responsible for the supervision/data integrity checks for project controls activities.
• Leading the Planning team. Provides subordinates with adequate training and develop their capabilities to enable them to accomplish their tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Arrange internal and external Project review weekly meeting with contractors & higher management. Carries out assigned responsibilities through and together with other people efficiently and smoothly. Presenting the motivation required for the team which ensures that they have adequate knowledge and information to perform their job effectively.
• Responsible to establish project progress monitoring techniques as per requirements.
• Generating & Expedition Progress Reports (Daily, Weekly & Monthly) including Progress Assessment Curves and Productivity Reports, Deliverables, Forecasting a pre-estimated profit.
• Resource (Manpower, Equipment & Material) optimizing utilization. Resource Loading & leveling in the schedule. Calculation of man hour & weightage of each activity.
• Prepare S-curve, Bar chart, PERT view, Histogram for Engineering, Procurement & Construction
• Carrying out Costing, Budgeting & Cost Control of projects by preparing & updating Costs & Budgets, Cost Coding & Allocation, Cost Loading, Cost Measurement & Monitoring system, Cash Flow Charts (In & Out) & Monthly Invoice Schedules, Progress Billings / Payment Certificates, Budget/Cost/Financial Reports & Progress Curves.

• Taking care Milestone activities. Develop earn value analysis.
• In coordination with the Contracts Administrator and the Project Manager prepares any required schedule that sets the strategy for defending all extension in time claims or any financial claim if called for by the Project Manager. Tracking Additional Cost for Contract Variations.
• Preparation and defining of contractual strategy and tactics for Sub contracting activities for resale items and service contracts (Insurance & Payment Guarantees, Warranties, LD Clauses).
• Review & comments on cost estimates and budgets for new projects. Identify areas of possible improvement and develop submittals for management approvals.
• To prepare Annual Capital and Operating budgets for Technical Group and their updating.
• Review Monthly Cost Status Report, & periodic cost information reports to Management.
• Reviews and enhances project management plans and ensures they include all actions needed to define ,integrate & coordinate the subsidiary plans into the Project Management Plans.
• To identify/establish KPIs for all ongoing projects for each year in consultation with the Project Team and to ensure achievement of all KPIs as per plan.
• Perform Project controls audits. Reporting to the Group Finance Director.
