• To advise & assist management in taking appropriate decision pertaining to any Occupational Health matters/issues, in fullfilment of statutory obligations, prevention of personal injuries & maintaining of safe working environment.
• To develop & Impliment comprehensive world-class Safety Management system & procedure to reduce incident rates and sustain them at very low levels & achieve the goal of zero accident target.
• To conduct & organised employee safety promotional activities such as safety, fire & environment day celebration, compaigns, compitation, contest & Creating awareness among all the employees to inculcate HSE culture. and prize distribution.
• To advice concerned deparment in planning, organising of control measures for effective personal injuries. Assist Line Management in achieving the HSE objectives.
• Monitor & guide in preparation of various procedure, SOP, JSA, preparation of on-site Emergency plan, mock drill plan, work permit, Prepared & develop detailed reports of MIS and presents to management.
• Identify training needs, desine & conduct various training programmes as per need- such as Emergency response plan, work permit system, Use of PPE, Accident Incident Reporting,, Safety laws & Regulations, Hazardous condition monitoring, MSDS, Heat stress management, chemical hazard management, confined space work etc. Build competency of the team employees.
• Guide, Plan and Conduct Internal & External Audits. Plan and Conducted inspections/ survey for company building, plant field operation & other premises, of all safety aspects and reporting the observation to management, taking preventive & corrective action.
• To promote the Sitting up Safety Committee and conducting Safety committee meetings, Prepare minutes and send to all the concerned department, management review etc. and monitoring the implementation of suggestions.
• Conducted HSE Meeting with contractors, site in charge and project manager for implementation of safe system, advising statuary requirements regarding safety and presenting safety agenda and providing MOM.
• Ensure proper Disposal of Hazardous waste to authorized agents to preparing the Hazardous waste disposal system & internal procedures, norms and laws about waste management (quantity of waste produced by the factory, handling, segregation, storage, and dispatch to authorized external companies for disposal) and maintaining the records.
• Carrying out the Environmental monitoring and maintain the records as per schedule (Ambient air monitoring records, Work area monitoring, Effluent analysis records & Hazardous waste records).
• Complying with Safety norms, code of conducts, rules and regulations, continuously review and study safety standards. Ensure availability of resources & ensure optimized use of resources.
• To Implimentation of ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001, PTW, Near miss, accident, incident investigation, reporting system.
• To Implimentation of OHSE policy, safety management system & establish a best safety culture in the organization.
• To Develop & Impliment of safe work procedures, identify best safe practices, continue improvement & maintain it to achieve the goal of zero accidents.
• Investigate all accidents and recommend appropriate corrective & preventive action/ measures to check & evalute the effectiveness of action taken to prevent personnel injuries.
• Carried out daily Site HSE inspections and investigations to identify unsafe working conditions, unsafe practices and unsafe equipment based on ISO-14001/OHSAS-18001/BOCW- Act-1998/Factory Act-1948 guidelines and initiate necessary corrective and preventive action.
• Prepare and maintain legal compliance register, liaise with local legal authorities. Monitoring the compliance of HSE related statutory requirements, internal SHE standard and management audit requirements.
