• Correctly and safely erect, alter and dismantle tube and fitting scaffold, and prefabricated modular system scaffold of all kinds.
• Monitor regulations governing the safe erection, alteration and dismantling of scaffolds and the work methods to be adopted.
• Carry out procedures for producing, interpreting and using risk assessments and method statements.
• Determine the material required for the overall erection of scaffold on worksite.
• Lay out materials, interpret design drawings, set out scaffolds and overcome obstacles to erect the scaffold safely.
• Construct scaffolds to statutory regulations, TG20 and BS EN12811-1, and follow the safe systems of work set out in the Safety Guidance Note 4 (SG4).
• Developing enhanced scaffolding standards at the work place.
• Checking on the status of all scaffolding equipments and scaffolding materials at the worksite and ensuring that proper documentation are in order.
• Inspect, rectify and certify all type of scaffold before use.
• Conduct regular safety talks covering scaffold related topics.
• Conduct safety promotional activities like JSA/JRA and toolbox talks with the work force on or before work commences.
• Monitor scaffolding activities daily to ensure safe work practice at worksite.
• Inspect scaffold equipments including full body harness, ladders and all scaffold components.
• Proficient in conducting safety internal audits and risk assessment and implementing various measures to achieve high safety in the organisation.
• Excellent understanding of various safety methods and coordinating and leading variety of people/projects with a skill to develop strategic plans.
• High integrity and energetic leader with proven ability in quality assurance to deliver quality services to clients / customers.
Entrusted with the responsibility of:
• Coordinating in project planning and delivering scaffold job presentation and scaffold training
• Carryout inspection on scaffolds, full body safety harness, ladders and all scaffold components for visible defects
• Produce and update the scaffold inspection register/report
• Calculating stress and Stability on scaffold and observing the rules of work at Height Regulations 2005 closely
• Supervising all scaffolding jobs and making sure that all scaffolds erected conform with BS EN 12811-1 code of practice
• Preparing and monitoring of all scaffold materials/stocks on site and attending daily meetings with project supervisors/client representative to discuss client requirements, job progress, and next day task
• Carryout risk assessments and method statements on the job and delivered daily JSA/JHA talks for work force before work commences
