I have 10 years of Petrochemical, 27 years of nuclear and 3 years of fossil power generation experience. My experience is cross linked to general management, operations, nuclear safety assurance, human performance, training, nuclear emergency planning and auditing. I have had exposure to international standards and industry best practice such as the Institute of Nuclear Power Operators, the World Association of Nuclear Operators, the International Atomic Energy Agency and Electric Power Research Institute. I have in depth knowledge of procedures, guidelines, policies and regulations and have used this extensively in training for operational excellence
For the last 10 years my career was dedicated to adult education, operational support and continuous improvement strategies. I have the skill, knowledge and attitude to assist organizations achieve operational excellence at an international level. My relationship with various energy sectors stakeholders at all levels has provided me with a firm foundation of understanding the dynamics of the power industry. One of my career highlights was being part of a team that obtained international accreditation for the Operator Licensed Training Program at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station. This accreditation was issued by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operators and South Africa was the first non – USA Utility in the world to obtain this status. I was again recently instrumental in obtaining local accreditation for the Eskom fossil and nuclear power plant controller qualifications.
I feel that I am more than capable of successfully moving organisations to achieve operational excellence. I can function with ease in a multicultural and diverse organizations. My in depth knowledge of training and operational support, is the leverage I use to foster a culture of continuous improvements amongst the workforce.
