I have a Master’s degree in Microbiology (Summa Cum Laude), fluent in English with over 8 years of extensive work experience as Microbiologist in industry and research laboratories and experienced in hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP), cross-contamination risks and behavior of microorganisms. I am experienced in microbiological quality-control analyses of food and pharmaceutical products, ISO 9001, ISO 22001, laboratory management, current good manufacturing/ laboratory practices, method validation, upkeep and calibration of laboratory equipment, environmental monitoring of the laboratory and manufacturing plant and good record keeping. I am well versed and have vast expertise in culture, enumeration, isolation and identification of microorganisms from environmental and clinical samples, including Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Vibrio spp., Salmonella spp., other coliforms, yeasts and molds, performing antimicrobial activity studies and trained in BSL1, BSL2 and BSL3 laboratories. I also worked at molecular biology and protein biochemistry laboratories performing molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, gene cloning and mutagenesis. Additionally, I worked as an instructor in tertiary level, training students in microbiology, biochemistry and cell and molecular biology. I also published quality research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
