Masters 2017

The Masters 2017 is underway in Augusta National, with golfers on course in the first major of the year. There has already been drama: Dustin Johnson injured his back by falling down the stairs the night before the tournament, and it is not yet known whether or how well he will be able to play.
The Masters usual favorites are in Augusta, including Johnson, Jordan Spieth, and Rory McIlroy. Tiger Woods is missing this year, dealing with an aging back injury.

And after a little weather on Wednesday that forced the cancellation of the Par 3 Contest, the sky has cleared in Augusta, although the wind has risen for the first round of Thursday. Augusta is always a difficult course, and Thursday's conditions do not seem to make it easier to conquer.

Thomas Pieters was bogey-double-bogey in numbers 11 and 12, and we are currently looking at a four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard, at 2 under par. Pieters is even with Rickie Fowler, Kevin Chappell and Andy Sullivan.
