Dear Sir/Madam,
Please find brief details below, as to why I believe that I would be suitable for your currently advised vacancy, in that;-
• I am a ‘goal orientated’ Supply Chain professional with over 38 years direct experience in Procurement, coupled with 10 years overall in Project Management, having risen up through the ranks.
• I have worked as the Sole Client representative, the Client, an Employee and as a Contractor.
• I am comfortable being the Supply Chain ‘focal point’ for the organisation and am familiar with having to work as an autonomous self-motivating individual.
• I have experience of working in various Industries as the Manufacturer, the Operator and EPC Contractor, both within the UK and various locations Overseas.
• I have successfully managed direct line report groups of up to 70 staff, with duties including mentoring, appraising, rewarding/reprimanding and succession planning.
• Guiding and Leading direct report disciplines which include Procurement, In-House and External 3rd Party Expediting, Logistics, QA, Internal and External 3rd Party Inspection, Documentation Control, Material Control, Warehousing, Project Controls/Planning, Accounting and Engineering (End User).
• I have both Brown & Greenfield Project experience, along with successfully integrating into existing Operational environments.
• I have experience in working within the highly regulated, controlled and monitored Oil & Gas Industry for Capital Equipment and Utility related functions, along with experience in the Service quarter in Logistics and Warehousing.
• I have implemented Procurement processes, procedures, guidelines, responsibility matrices and various reporting/measurement tools (KPI’s etc), to ensure that targets and goals are set and achieved, both at the individual, group and Corporate levels.
• I have conducted internal Health, Safety and Security audits, as well as to the aforesaid Procurement processes, to ensure that compliance is maintained and actively encouraged suggestions from our ‘front line’ staff, as to how we can all improve.
• I have successfully planned, managed and monitored the entire Supply Chain/Procurement activities and Commodity purchases to ensure that deliveries ‘dove-tail’ with any 3rd Party required Installation, Commissioning and Operational schedules.
• I am familiar with reporting and presenting Supply Chain progress and status updates to internal Senior Management and Client(s) direct, including any required mitigation plans, should targets change.
• I have negotiated high value single source awards, which have resulted in major cost and time savings, whilst ensuring Quality requirements are maintained and potentially improved upon.
• I have managed Purchase Orders, Frame Agreements, Contracts for various Equipment and Services and made awards via Competitive Sealed Bid, Public Bid, Reverse Auctions/Online Bidding, Direct Negotiations, Single Sourcing etc, dependent upon value and criticality to Project/Client needs.
