Job Responsibilities:

I have received 3 Months training in UNIX, Storage and was introduced to Netbackup.

I work for EMC Avamar product. It is a backup tool. Its base OS is SUSE Linux.
We have 2 levels: Dial Home (DH) and Chat.

 Worked for DH for around a year till Dec 2016

DH mainly focuses on core server troubleshooting.
As a DH engineer I worked on issues like Os capacity, Maintenance failure, Hardware issues (Disk/Node/Fan/Power failure etc), Stripe corruption, etc. by taking a WebEx/ESRS and troubleshooting the issues.

 Since Jan 2017 I started working in Chat process.

This is a higher level as we focus on backup/restore/configuration errors with various client environments like Windows/Linux servers, VMware, SQL, AER, SharePoint, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
 To ensure the transactions flow smoothly from the datacenter (Aix/Linux server)
 To ensure there is no latency/traffic during any maintenance activities like RAFT activity, production/non-production patching, emergency change requests,etc.
 To putty into the Aix/Linux servers for log collection for troubleshooting
 Monitoring of logs using Splunk tool using SQL queries, Websphere
 Restarting JVM whenever required
