Profile
• Good understanding of the principles of Soil Mechanics and Rock Mechanics and able to perform complex geo-hazards analysis using finite element modeling software (Geoslope, Plaxis, WallAP, etc.);
• Good understanding of and experience in application/assessment of soil classification, site investigation designs, in-situ and laboratory testing, foundation design for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability analyses in rock and soil, temporary works design, retaining wall design, rock mass classification systems, etc.;
• Basic understanding of related sciences such as hydrology, environment, geophysics, hydrogeology, surface water management, etc.
• Extensive experience in site investigation using various techniques (SPT, CPT, PMT, FVT, etc.), interpretation and assessment of ground investigation parameters for design purposes;
• Good report writing skills in preparation of specifications and drawings for various infrastructure projects and thorough understanding and experience with international best practices (AASHTO, ASTM, BS, EN-NFP, etc.);
• Good computer knowledge: MS-DOS, Mac-OS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Primavera, AutoCAD, Civil-3D, etc.
