Working as a Quality Control Engineer (KNPC Approved) from 19th October 2013 with Kharafi National KSC (Closed), Kuwait.
Client: KNPC
Project: 1 CB/1337-Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of Mechanical Projects inside MAB Refinery.
Project: 2 CB/CSPD/2037-EPC of Dosing Pump, Travelling Water Screen & Heat Exchanger installation inside MAB Refinery.
Nature of work
a) To undertake QC functions in the workplace for daily QC activities.
b) Preparation of Project Quality Plan (PQP) for EPC Mechanical jobs.
c) Preparation of Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and QA/QC Procedures for Mechanical, Civil and Structure Construction jobs.
d) Review of Material Test Certificates (MTC’s) for all type of Materials as per applicable Codes and Standards.
e) Review of Data Sheets for Pumps, Motors, Coupling, seals, valves and instruments with respect to Contract Specification.
f) Review of Calibration Certificates for instruments and machineries.
g) To interface and coordinate with Client for QC matters and coordinate with third party inspection agencies for all inspection activities.
h) To plan and supervise Subcontractor inspection activities and reviews of Sub Contractor QC performance as per the Contract requirements.
i) To perform new Welder Qualification (WPS, PQR & WQT) for Welders and Welding Operator’s as per ASME SEC IX & AWS D1.1.
j) Inspection of Materials with respect to the actual traceability against Manufacturer Test Certificate, ITP, Purchase Order & Contact Specification.
k) To prepare and maintain the Welder’s register and WPS Register as per approved WPS & Welder’s.
l) To prepare and maintain the Welder’s Performance log sheet for calculating repair percentage of the Welder’s.
m) To allocate the standard welding electrodes & filler wire for the mechanical construction jobs.
n) To monitor the Welding Consumable batch control and baking records on daily basis as per the approved project specification.
o) Stage wise inspection shall be carried out (Fit up, Weld Visual, NDT Clearance, PWHT, Hardness, Dimension & Level check, Hydro Static test, Pneumatic test, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning ) for mechanical construction job and offered to Client for approval as per the ITP, record the results in respective inspection reports.
p) To prepare the Final Document dossier with necessary attachments and submit it to Client for final clearance.
