Profile
I would describe myself as a hardworking and enthusiastic person who works well with others and takes a lot of pride in completing tasks both on schedule and at an elite level.Result oriented and passionate engineer who challenges the status quo of the organization in order to bring in innovative solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity. Having more than 2.8 years of work experience in the field of FMCG in supply chain operations and delivered substantial results in the verticals of production, maintenance and quality in both foods and beverages units.
I strongly believe that any target/mile stone is achievable through continuous and focused improvement.
I did my B.Tech from NIT Rourkela in E&I Engineering. In the very first semester I scored only 6.7 point because of my health problem, But in later semesters I came up with improved pointer and finally passed B Tech with overall 9 pointer CGPA.
In my batch, I was the university Gold medalist for best project. I had developed one embedded system product, which had been deployed in Jindal mines for monitoring mines processes in a network constrained environment by using wireless communication bridge. A research paper has been published in IEEE for the same work.
For better industrial/project experience, during my every winter/summer vacation I had done my internships from HAL, SAIL, DRDO and IIT Kharagpur.
In my final year, I got placed in PepsiCo through campus placement program. From there, a big transition had started – From Campus to Corporate. (More over Individual – Team Player)
I joined PepsiCo in July 2015. I am having more than 2.5 years of work experience in the field of FMCG operations and delivered substantial results in the verticals of production, maintenance and quality.
As a part of PepsiCo’s GET induction, I was deputed into foods plant for 1 year to enhance learnings, being trained and certified along different verticals such as production, maintenance, quality and implemented productivity related projects.
I did project for improvement of “Machine throughput and Efficiency of packaging machines”. I led a team of skilled electricians and fitters for installation of “Fire suppressant system on KKR lines for enhancing safety and to maintain FM Global standards.” The carry forward was the time management (Material, people, work) and the methodology employed.
Apart from this, I was part of the installation team of packaging machines to enhance the small capacity of PC and KKR.
I love being critically involved in multiple levels of projects and I think I thrive in this type of environment; it keeps my mind sharp, active & engaged.
Post working for 1 year in foods plant, I had got an opportunity to work in Beverage industry and transferred to SriCity plant. This plant had been constructed newly with two lines PET & CAN. PET line was one year old with operational and CAN line was in the commissioning phase.
For initial five months, I was part of maintenance team taking care of mainly line equipment maintenance and Power KPIs. I was trained on operation and maintenance practices of line equipment’s and was having a greater responsibility to cascade the same down the line. Through thorough discussion with OEM and by obtaining valuable feedback from operators, the pre startup checklist, SOPs and the PM Master schedule has been implemented by me for the first time in the plant for ensuring vertical startup and enhancing machine reliability.
Later I was moved to production team. Through end to end ownership and collaboration, our team had shown a great effort by pushing the line efficiency from 65% to 95%.
Then the challenge was to sustain the momentum by imparting proper system. As a circle leader successfully implemented TPM culture through daily JH, CLITA, tagging of abnormalities, circle meetings, adherence to PM compliance, Centre lining of parameters & mechanical settings and hence observed increment in MTBF and reduction in MTTR.
Specifically my works shows that I have experience in applicable practical tasks to complete those at an elite level and I believe these experiences will allow me to achieve the upcoming goals.
I love the work I am doing, but needed to explore opportunities for better carrier growth and I am really excited to use my knowledge and expertise to tackle the challenges that lay ahead.
