I’m a hardcode salesman with 15+ years of experience in Business development and team leading. I have worked on huge projects in both government and corporate verticals and have been recognized with several awards during my career.
My passion for government sales is never ending that I had over a period of time mastered the art of Sales through tender and DGS&D RC. I have had the opportunities to interact with secretaries and ministers and have developed fantastic contacts in many government organizations, PSU’sdefense and paramilitary. An expert in Telecom(PBX IP Switches and networking including Cabling for LAN, WAN OFC (Armoured, unarmoured, JFC and last mile solutions), IT Hardware (Desktop, notebook, Server, Storage and cloud) Video products (Video Conferencing and security cameras), I spend a lot of time understanding the business and the audience before suggesting ideas or designing a perfect solution for them.
Corporate sales is the prime role that I adorned ever since I entered the IT Hardware and Telecom industry. Over the time I have mastered the art of giving clean, and bold presentations to C-level executives, Tech panels and successfully derive TCO and ROI that only impress them to give complete freedom to design a project for their IT Infra requirements. With relationship built at is best with the decision maker and influencer, I have always had first hand information on the competition offerings and budget allocated for purchases and also ensuring payment is collected on time.
In all my assignments I have worked closely with the indirect channel (Channel partners) and have always kept them close and under my wings that I had over a period of time mastered the art of Sales through a lot of interaction with Channel partners and even freelancer resellers. I believe that spreading is easy and complete only when an organization is able to identify, motivate and nurture channel partners. Especially in my current role, I handle around 35 prime channel partners (distributor, dealer’s/Reseller’s) for our in-house security surveillance products such as Analog, CCTV, IP cameras and range of DVR (That include rack and mobile DVR’s) and our Range of EPABX systems and AIDC consumables. While with Redington India limited, my prime and only role was to handle around 100 dealers and resellers and managing them on sales, credit and collection front with a help of few MRE or apprentice under me from time to time.
Colleagues know me as a highly motivating and inspiring leader who leads by example and from the
front. A field guy always, I always want to be in touch with my customers by regularly visiting them. I have travelled extensively in Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala reaching out to customers with solutions that they can trust and reap benefit. I’m at my best collaborating with others, be it customers or the team under me. My subordinates look at me as someone who can always be trusted to come up with a new approach and be sure of itgetting implemented.
I have a BBA degree from university of madras and diploma in computer Management and advanced diploma in computer applications from DATAPRO infoworld. Besides, I am certified storage sales specialist from SANAT academy for storage Long term relationship, be it a organization- employee or vendor-customer, is my way of working. I am currently looking for an opportunity that can provide me with a challenging career and lots of freedom to explore, experiment and bring out innovative ideas for the mutual benefit of the organization and self.
Training people on public speaking and personality development is something which I do as a passion. Especially I would like to share things that I have learnt to others, so they may benefit.
