Since earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering (BSc), I have worked for the last 9 years as an electrical engineer, consultant and supervisor for various contracting corporations, many leading the field within Turkey, Saudi Arabia and most recently at the new dynamic airport project in Bahrain. In these roles I maintained, upgraded and repaired plant and mobilisation electrical equipment whilst serving in supervisor and chief engineering positions. This experience has given me a strong foundation within the heavy industrial manufacturing sector in addition to highly proven success in:
• Improving preventive maintenance programs and site systems to minimize unscheduled equipment and team downtime by up to 50%.
• Extending the average life of electronic industrial systems and components through early detection programs initiated and upheld by me.
• Troubleshooting circuitry, wiring and other electrical/electromechanical issues and implementing design improvements to prevent future problems thus maintaing an excellent stable client contractor relationship.
During my tenure at these projects, I have developed a vast expertise in an array of plant-wide electrical/control systems, including Low and Ultra-Low voltage systems (Fire alarm systems, lighting, building management systems and security systems) and I have gained further practice and knowledge within large scale utility complexes such as switchgears and transformers. I am also proficient in using electrical design tools and software such as AutoCAD, DiaLUX and Revit amongst others. By completing the Revit MEP Certificate training in February 2019, I can easily design, draft, calculate the loads and lighting, work on the BOQ, and collaborate with the other disciplines for any coordination issue.
