I am assigned to handle electrical problems or electrical engineering issues at a building, work site or other locations. Construction sites have electrical site engineers to handle all electrical issues.
To supervise the electricians in handling all the electrical works considering the safety and quality requirements.
Also reads and studies the electrical plans and implements it in the site and sometimes do necessary actions whether to correct or to improve the design.
Coordinate with other electrical engineers in the implementation of the electrical system design and also with other engineers of different fields, such as civil and mechanical engineers to make the construction job easier.
I have also the responsibility of making sure that every electrical device or circuit installed meets the National Electric Code. This is important due to the liability issues that can be caused by improper installation. This can be a challenging task during large projects because the site engineer could be managing a crew of a hundred or more people.
