• Roles:
A- Pre- Tender Stages:
• Review Employer’s Letters of Acceptances (LOA) and issue Risk Assessment Report to CEO& CFO and tender department for further advice and decision prior signing the Contract Agreement.
• Review Employer’s Particulars Conditions of Contracts and issue Risk Assessment Report to CEO& CFO and tender department for further advice and decision prior signing the Contract Agreement.
• Assist the Tendering Department and Tendering adjudication process.
B- Post-Contract Stage:
• Issue Contract brief & highlights to CEO/ CFO/COO & SPM’s.
• Technical review & assessments of new QS / Contract administrator’s.
• Responsible for attending, addressing contractual matters with Projects Employers, Engineers & evaluating and submitting all potential Variations/Claims & support to planning dept. for E.O.T’s.
• Responsible for preparation of claims narratives, entitlement & executive summaries, with contractual inputs with all the substantiations & supporting documentation.
• Assist procurement in resolving (back to back) Contract Variation Orders with Sub-Contractors.
• Recommend and monitor site valuations and preparation and negotiation of Interim Valuations.
• Recommend and monitor requests to detect variations and/or change orders to be proposed.
• Attends project meetings, as needed and to be kept current on project status.
• Responsible for Contract management from contract award up to final account.
C- General Responsibilities:
• Responsible for attending, addressing contractual matters with Projects Employers, Engineers & evaluating and submitting all potential Variations/Claims & support to planning dept. for E.O.T’s.
• Develop and monitor the administration of Scope Change, Variation Orders and Extension of time Claims in coordination with Planners.
• Summarize to COO and SPM’s new projects contract terms and conditions, particularly with any special contract provision.
• Develop per Project Contract procedures for Correspondence Queries to and from Employer’s.
• Organize and coordinate the Change Notices meetings with the Entities.
• Reporting to CEO, COO& CFO with the status of each project contracts status & closeout.
• Reviewing all incoming contractual correspondences from/ to Employer’s/ Engineer /Consultant/SPM and Participating in writing draft documents in assistance to SPM’s in preparing related contractual correspondences.
• Recommend and monitor running projects Contractor Contracts obligations & sort out the obstacles and advice for contractual alternative resolutions.
• Coordinate with different departments such as procurement, planning, engineering, design, finance, cost Control, QA/QC, etc. in managing and resolving contractual issues.
