Dear Sir/Ms.
I am currently the Operational Director of AMIDEAST Alexandria an American NGO providing Education, Training and Exchange services to the Egyptian Society. I direct mainly administration and finance in addition to some programmatic services. Previously I was the corporate services Director of the British Embassy in Cairo. I was responsible mainly for administration, Finance and Accounts, Transportation, Protocols and Facilities management. I currently lead a team of 23 professionals and previously I led 42.
I worked extensively in my career on Financial Planning, Administration Procedures, Process Excellence, Business Continuity and Contingency Planning, Crisis Management, Strategy and people management. I am an astute process designer and implementer through educating my team in open workshops to re-engineer existing procedures and processes as well as developing new ones.
Throughout the last ten years I was directly responsible of yearly budgeting for the whole organization. Preparing Budgets, getting them approved, monitoring then on monthly basis, controlling organization cost, following procurement procedure and lines, inventory control and budget reporting.
I have operational hands on experience in IT as I worked eight years of my career in business information systems. I managed several huge projects using my planning and organization skills to manage extremely complex tasks with my teams, I have extensive experience leading people, developing them and supporting them to unleash their real potential at work.
I worked for long years in HR Management Capacities and Consultancy all over the Middle East and Africa which gave me solid experience understanding cultural and organizational requirements in the countries I worked in. I worked in all of the Kuwait, KSA, Emirates, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan as well as Sudan, Ghana, Nigeria, Gabon, Kenya and Madagascar. During this period I managed large cross culture teams implementing platforms and policies.
Working across countries and different cultures gave me solid experience to deal with extremely complex and complicated tasks and projects across large multinational teams. I strive on challenge, hard work and flexibility of working time and conditions in order to achieve results and create a fun and challenging work environment for my team.
I have solid experience mentoring, coaching and developing senior as well as junior executives of different responsibilities, personality types. I coached levels from a CEO, to Managing Director down to team members on the front lines.
I hold an executive MBA from four top American business schools 2003 and a BSc. of computer engineering and automatic control, Ain Shams University, Egypt 1992. I am fluent in English, Arabic and French.
