I am a senior professional electrical engineer with 30 years rich experience of three decades in reputable turnkey project management companies, oil and gas firms as well as the government sector. I have had the opportunity to work across multiple sites (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Korea, France, Italy, Oman Singapore and Egypt) that has provided me the opportunity to become familiar with global engineering and business practices. I hold a dual doctorate (PhD in Electrical Power Engineering & Machines, and PhD in Information Technology and Computers), I am Six Sigma Certified.
My experience has afforded me rich exposure to Pre-FEED, FEED, design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical projects, high value procurement, and supervising installation and commissioning of highly engineered systems. I have successfully led cross-functional project teams and I am very familiar with various codes, standards and regulations – SHELL DEP, GASCO DGS, ARAMCO Standards, Kahrama Standard, KOC standard, and UAE TRANSCO specification and regulations. Most notable is my expertise in EPC contracting, client interactions, front end engineering and design (FEED), quality management, operations and maintenance.
At present, I am employed as Senior Electric Engineer with Al Hosn Gas, Abu Dhabi UAE though IDC, where I supervise electrical support to the 8 Billion USD’s Shah Gas development project. I review electrical engineering design including project tender clarifications, and oversee all electrical engineering aspects. Additionally, I was involved from the last phase of the FEED till the pre-commissioning, commission and handover. My efforts were recognized and I was nominated by the CEO as ‘PhD Council’ Co-Chairman’ for Continual Improvement. I am also an ADNOC approved ‘Skill Pool Expert – Electrical’ representing Al Hosn Gas Co. I was involved in the CAMS program development Project (2014-2015) for UD electrical Engineers. With TRANSCO, I was Al Hosn Gas focal point involved in the preparation of the Power Supply Agreement with TRANSCO. Also, I was assigned as technical reviewer to provide Al Hosn Gas comments on Electricity Transmission System Security Standard & Electricity Transmission Code.
Earlier I worked at CCC (Consolidated Contractors Company) across various assignments. These included Lead Design Engineer for EPSO-PED, UAE, Deputy Commissioning Manager for Projects (Ras Laffan Port Expansion for USD 2 billion, and Al-Khafji FPD-1 Onshore Facilities for USD 500 million), and as Electrical Construction and Commissioning Manager at CCC- Oman for the USD 100 million Isomerization and Refinery Revamp Project. One of the major highlights of my career has been executing a crucial development project, Soroosh & Nowrooz, for Shell Exploration B. V. The management recognized my efforts in applying precise electrical engineering principles and delivering high- quality services along with robust technical support.
My previous employers include National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC)-UAE, Saudi Arabian Texaco-Kuwait, Ministry of Electricity & Water-Kuwait and COMEX-Egypt. To continuously update my knowledge and skills I have undergone multiple trainings and completed several professional certifications. I have also published more than ten technical papers in reputed international journals.

On November 2015, I received International IASTEM Excellent Paper Award and Golden Medal for category of Best “Presentation & Best Content”. Paper title: “ENHANCEMENT OF H2S GAS SWEETENING SEPARATOR USING MIMO FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER”
On December 2015, I received Excellent Oral Presentation Award from ASR (American Society for Research) Paper title:“REAL TIME IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GRID TO ANALYZE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE VARIABLE SPEED WIND TURBINE - GENERATOR DURING GRID DISTURBANCES”.
