My name’s Ashwin, and I am an engineering graduate by educational qualification and I would like to apply for the position of “VP _Business Development _Government Sales _Infrastructure " or a suitable opportunity in IT sales and business development or Bid Management .
I have relocated to India and had previously been working in the Middle East for the last 7 plus years. I have been handling the P&L in my last job role for the last couple of years, but best enjoy as a business development /sales position or general management and am adept at positioning new products / service streams as per market demands with a thorough understanding of aggregation of revenue to foster business growth with a clear focus on the bottom line.
I have been handling the sales division and have also worked as an individual contributor as well and my core strength stems from my understanding of the hardware-software-application domain space from a solution perspective (design and understanding of modules) and to align the same with the clients architectural requirement as required ,combined with hands down understanding of commercial modelling to provision for a WIN situation .
My sales success has largely been due to my attention to detail and focus on fundamentals and functional understanding of the solution architecture and adoption of solution selling as an approach .
I have worked across two industry segments ( Infrastructure /construction and technology ) and have handled project management positions ,bid management, sales management ,GTM & strategy across these segments but my intrinsic strength lies in business development and driving the P&L.
In brief,my USP would be my exposure to infrastructure, technology, understanding of different LOB's within these realms and my ability to consolidate revenue by adapting quickly to market dynamics and different organizational work cultures is what i consider to be my forte.
My current focus area is to obtain JV ( MOU’s) with large corporates and MNC’s involved in urban infrastructure like water , sanitation , transport, irrigation, power , health, and provision for professional liaisoning services for SPV’s and large ticket projects wrt.the above ministries and as partner in undertaking complex civil works if required .
Job role in detail would involve structuring RFQ/RFP, aligning PQ of JV lead partner, political alignment, understanding finance availability of SPV from Nodal agencies like WB, ADB, JICA’s through indian financial management bodies like KUIDFC or respective state bodies , proposal fine tuning, commercial modelling and overall bid management , cash flow analysis for SPV to structure ( capex/opex ) and facilitate BG/PBG and Mobilization advances .Programme management for the secured project at macro level with detailing only into financial aspects based on hypothetical overruns and till kick off workshop .This entire exercise is Pan India and clients are from Middle east , North America, Germany , France , Spain and Israel. Average ticket size of 120 plus million USD .
What is would like to do:
I have worked in two different verticals my entire professional life. Infrastructure (Civil ) and Technology . Being a civil engineer by education and deriving immense satisfaction from creating new structures ( be it buildings,roads, utilities) and having a natural flair for sales and business solutioning as I have spent about 8 years of my life in Enterprise sales .
I am at a point in time wherein I want to be involved in design architecture and be involved in solution’s that touch everyday life of the common man . I want to be involved in smart city solutions, e governance, in utilities( water, sanitation , power), transportation, healthcare, education being networked at your tablet level so that it makes life easy and governance efficient .
