WORK EXPERIENCE

Presently working as Administration & Logistics Supervisor with Frigoglass East Africa Limited having the following responsibilities:

 Managing logistics for the Ice Cold Merchandise from the various Frigoglass Plants to the respective customers across East and Central Africa, countries of origin being Greece, Indonesia, China, India, Romania, Turkey, South Africa, Dubai, Slovakia and the countries of destination being Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo( DRC), Ethiopia, Djibouti, South Sudan, Seychelles, Mauritius and Mayotte, mode of transport being sea, air and road
 Preparation of the logistics tender documents
 Vetting of the best shipping lines/ forwarders and clearing agents
 Preparation of Logistics reports to management
 Handling of logistics related projects
 Sales Administration based on the demand versus the capacities of the various Ice Cold Merchandise production plants through the Demand Planning System
 Coordination and alignment within sales teams the volumes for budget, forecast and monthly outlooks
 Demand management and coordination from sales side
 Developing and implementing FG inventory management processes and tools to optimize inventory levels
 Liaison between sales and central planning and SOP owner from the commercial side
 Definition of priorities when there are gaps between requested and confirmed demand
 Definition of stock building requirements in the low season and when needed
 Following up deliveries and having the overview how the company runs versus the commitments to customers
 Liaison between Product Development, Marketing, Planning, Manufacturing for new product introductions
 Coordinating with all departments for product discontinuation; secure smooth transition and minimize inventory impact
 Coordination with all departments for major product changes; secure smooth transition and minimize inventory impact
 Keeping abreast of developments and implementing best practices; building upon existing knowledge, methods and systems
 Invoicing all sales accurately and on time using Sage Pastel
 Managing systems to support process optimization and functional enhancements to continuously improve warehousing and Distribution performance indicators
 Serves as a functional expert in warehousing and distribution, develops policies and SOP's in storage, delivery, distribution and customer service
 Ensuring adequate space is available in time based on the inventory forecast
 Timely sending of Inventory Reports to Management
 Ensuring the timely delivery of office supplies as well as spare parts to Customer Service department and any other supplies to user departments
 Supervision of the Administration team to ensure that they work efficiently to enable the office to run smoothly with timely provision of office supplies

Achievements

 Vetting of the best shipping lines/ forwarders and clearing agents hence ensuring timely delivery of goods at effective cost
 Successfully reducing clearance costs (storage and demurrage) by 90% thereby increasing the company’s profit margin

Earlier worked as Sales Administration & Logistics Coordinator with Frigorex East Africa Limited (Frigoglass) since June’ 2010 having the following responsibilities:

 Sales administration - Updating of the DPS (Demand Planning System) in connection with the demands from the sales department versus the capacities of the various Ice Cold Merchandise production plants
 Logistics - Ensuring that the merchandise leaves the plants and reaches the customers at various parts of the globe in time within the shortest time possible with minimum delay and at effective cost by use of sea and air freight as well as road transport, countries of origin being; Greece, Indonesia, China, India, Romania, Turkey, South Africa, Dubai, Slovakia and the countries of destination being ; Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo( DRC), Ethiopia, South Sudan
 Purchasing - Timely delivery of office supplies as well as supplies to user departments within the stipulated time, at the right price, with the right quality, in the right quantity with the best service levels
 Invoicing - Ensuring that all sales are invoiced accurately and on time using Sage Pastel
 Human Resource administration – Led with strength and energy a team of 24 employees on all matters relating to human resource management
