Ali Hirani

I am a finance professional, currently employed by EY one of the Big Four accountancy firms of the world having a background of professional /reputable institutes/university such as ACCA , ICAP and Karachi University.

Currently, I am working as Engagement Auditor in the Audit Department of Ernst & Young - Dubai. I have an audit experience of more than five years in the EY Karachi office, including experience of EY-Dubai and EY-Abu Dhabi office. I have led teams through the planning, execution and conclusion stages of statutory audits, validation of financial reporting packages and other varied special nature engagements. My responsibilities included engagement management, client relationship management, and co-ordination with professionals in various fields.

I am a finalist Chartered Certified Accountant (one paper left) of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). I am also a CA intermediate from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). Also, I am a graduate of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from University of Karachi.

This exposure to a wide spectrum of clients, with a variety of work experience has provided me with an insight of the key business processes within an organization, accounting and internal control systems, corporate governance and regulatory as well as accounting frameworks of an array of industries. Equally important, it has enriched me professionally and equipped me with the traits needed to deal with a variety of situations and a diverse set of people in an innovative, effective and efficient manner.
