Akshay Parmar

I am a Biomedical engineer and have worked on manufacturing and servicing of medical equipment’s. From a very young age, I have always been hard working and interested in new things. This attracted me to the field of healthcare, which requires more innovation than any other field.
Right through my childhood and now even as an adult, I believe that there is no substitute for focussed and concentrated effort. This attribute that I possess was highlighted when I played my sport of choice: Soccer

I played as a striker for my college and we won many tournaments along the way. While I did pick up the award for the best player in some of these tournaments, and I became the captain of the team eventually, I realized while playing, that without my teammates who rallied around me and created a family atmosphere in the group, we would have achieved nothing. I learnt from this great experience that hard work done by a group of focussed individuals with a goal set before them can push the boundaries of human knowledge.

It is with this mantra that I approach every project I undertake and so far it has held me in good stead.
