Development of Power Quality Studies:
a)Working as part of a team of sr-electrical engineers and designers.
b)Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematic blueprints.
c)Perform short circuit, Load Flow, Protective Relay Coordination and
studies utilizing state-of-the-art software; generate existing conditions reports.
d)Electrical Design Projects: Analysis, design, documentation of large and/or complex power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm, security, audio/visual,
telecommunications, and telephone systems for new and renovated and for a variety
of building types.
e)Experience include high, medium and low voltage systems design including
specifying, power distribution, schematics, layouts, grounding system, and
secondary systems, estimating and load studies.
f)Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), the National Fire
Alarm Code (NFPA 72), and the Life Safety Code (NFPA 101).
g)Help to develop specifications for use in bid packages and develop working
drawings.
h)Strong knowledge of the design and construction of overhead and underground
distribution systems, single line and three line diagrams, electrical interconnect
drawings, and structural / electrical details as well as familiarity with NESC
(National Electric Safety Code), NEC(National Electric Code).
h)All phases of electrical system design: load calculations, fault calculations; power
service and distribution system design, circuiting, equipment selection and
specification; fire alarm system design, telecom/data system rough-in; computer
modeling of electrical systems; interaction with Architects and other engineering
disciplines; design of electrical installation and construction details; other
miscellaneous duties.
i)All phases of design of lighting and lighting control systems: selection of fixtures;
calculation of lighting levels; calculation of electrical loads;presentation of conceptual lightingdesigns to owners/users; computer modeling of systems; design of lighting installation and construction details; other miscellaneous
a) Control new project work as allocated
b) Project planning,design,construction & management to the project schedule keeping in view the contractual milestones based on project specification and standards.
c) Review of engineering design in coordination with design consultant and futher submission to client for approval.
d) Responsible for review design and BOQ
e) Coordination with other engineering disciplines to ensure timely completion of projects with budget on schedule.
f) Prepares departmental policies
g) Participates in TQM systems control, system improvement & staff development activities.
h) Performs other duties & tasks within the realm of my knowledge & ability as required.
i) Performs on call duties
