During my 10.8 YEARS of experience, I got the opportunity to work in Oil & Gas fields, where I was involved in various:- Onshore- greenfield/brownfield projects, Pipeline projects, Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) projects, Petro-chemical refineries, Revamps projects and Polysilicon projects. My experience include but not limited to Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Engineering, Basic Engineering, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering Design.
Clients Exposure: -
• I had worked with the major oil producing companies as Clients, which includes: SHELL, CHEVRON, NAOC, TOTAL, SASOL, TANECO, QATARGAS, MARATHON, RELIANCE, and LANCO.
Codes & Standards: -
• I am also familiar with Industrial Codes and Standards including ASME, API, ASTM, ANSI, TEMA, NFPA, OISD and ISO.
• Well versed with Shell- Engineering Guides and General Specifications (EGGS), Design Engineering Practices (DEP’s).
Worked on & familiar with Areas/ Units: -
• I had worked on & familiar with following area’s/ units: Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit, Hydro Treating Unit, Coke Cracker Unit, Atmospheric & Vacuum Distillation Unit, Sour Water Service Unit, Amine Recovery Unit, Sulfur Recovery Unit, Waste Water Treatment Unit, Coker Unit, Storage tanks/ Spheres, Refrigeration Unit.
• Fire water system, Deluge system, steam system, tracing system, utilities systems.

• Columns/Strippers, Exchangers, Re-boilers, Vessels- separator, drums, Tanks, Air coolers, Pumps, Compressors, Flare stacks, Racks.
The Basic work activities envisage following responsibilities: -
Responsibilities for Project level assistance to Engineering Manager/ Lead: -
• Bid analysis/review, Technical tender evaluation, bid clarification meetings and commercial evaluation. FEED endorsements reports, DED, EPC and EPIC tender documents checks.
• Preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules.
• Contribute to appropriate scope studies, analyses and recommend actions for identified changes to project scope & report.
• Site surveys & reporting for projects.
• Provide assistance during Material and Procurement activities, Deliverable List (WBS), Design Basis, Interface management, Work pack preparation etc.
• Reviews, meetings, mobilization and demobilization, training and development.
• Assist and support junior personnel within the piping engineering team.
• Communicate effectively with the piping engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customers.
• Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in piping engineering.
Technical level responsibilities:-
Layouts:
• Studying Design Basis.
• Study Piping and Piping layout from P&IDs in accordance with ASME B31.3.
• Site survey & verifications of As-Builts.
• Preparation of Interconnection Transposition Diagrams.
• Preparing hand sketch ISOs for initial design, detailing & MTO.
• Modelling activity for 3D designing of the Plant. (using SP3D, PDMS, PDS, Microstation, AutoCAD 2009,Orthogen, Drawing Manager, Lasergen, Cloudworks, SPR)
• Developing Plot Plan, Equipment Layout & Piping layout from preliminary proposed Plot plan by using OISD-118.
• Preparing GAD through Drawing Manager to define the scope of support, stress, piping and civil department.
• Underground Piping
• Extracting, checking and issuing Isometrics & GAs for construction.
• Inter departmental checking with civil, instrumentation, process, electrical etc.
• Reviewing and commenting on Vendor Data and various other drawings under Squad Check.
• Preparing the status of Schedule of piping and piping deliverables.
• Preparing the schedule for piping review and reviewing through SPR by forming tags.
• Conducting stages of Model Reviews for comment updation.
• Participating in Inter-discipline, project, client & Vendor meetings.
• Rework, Revision, QA for isometrics and Closeout Activities.
• Trained the GETs & new comer by giving the presentation on Advance techniques of SPR, SP3D, PDS, PDMS and Microstation, AutoCad.
• Estimating & Preparing the Steam Tracing Network.
• Performing Isometric Checking to eliminate the fabrication errors and to maintain the quality.
• Participate in development of new methods to improve performance in the piping engineering section.
Materials:
• Preparation of Discipline Specifications & Datasheets- valves, SP items, flanges, fittings, bolts & nuts etc.
• Preparing Mechanical Equipment Datasheets- Pig traps, Slug Catcher.
• Material Requisitions RFQ’s (Request for Quotations), RFI’s(Request for Information’s)
• Technical Bid Evaluation, Purchase Order Specifications.
• Preparation of Material Take-Off (MTOs), Bill of Materials.
Stress:
• Caesar II modelling for stress analysis.
• Pipe support details, Pipe support Specification
• Checking of Critical line list
• Various Manual Calculations for:-Stresses, Wall Thickness, Dyke Wall Height, Bottom Analysis, Buoyancy, and Anchor Load.
